I would highly recommend staying away from this place. We stopped by for lunch and horseback riding in late September 2025. The lunch cost us $70 for cheese sticks and two sandwiches. We were used to the expensive prices, but we were not prepared for the amount of flies inside the restaurant. It was super dirty - I can deal with amenities that aren’t updated, but there is no excuse for uncleanliness. (There was an old pile of dog poop on the lunch patio. It was dried out and had clearly been there a long time without anyone bothering to pick it up.) There were used napkins, wrappers and uncleaned baskets strewn about, and a general lack of proper maintenance. When we went up for our horseback riding, the staff was incredibly rude and dismissive. A woman asked if the horses responded to verbal commands and the guide made fun of her in front of everyone. We finally started our horseback riding session one hour behind, so we were glad we didn’t have any plans after that were set in stone. My horse stumbled and tripped 7-8 times over the span of an hour because the trails were strewn with rocks, which felt dangerous for the horses and riders alike. When I pointed this out to the staff (I’m usually extremely comfortable on a horse but felt like the horse was going to fall), they responded with “that’s just Buttercup! She’s clumsy.” The views were absolutely stunning, but you can get those views from any other ranch. I would highly recommend staying away!

The property is in a beautiful location and the scenery on the ride was spectacular. However, with better management it could be excellent. The process of signing liability waivers should have been managed by the front office. For the 22 people who needed to sign, there were only 2 tablets being passed around by one of the stable hands who was also busy getting horses ready for the ride. We were 1/2 hour late for the ride to begin. Further the coral area where we mounted and dismounted was a muddy mess. The horses that were to be used for the trail rides should have been staged in a dry area of the property, which is doable. There is a large coral where the wagons are that could be used, or decrease the parking area which was expansive. In addition, it was evident that none of the horses had been groomed that day, or possibly all week. Some were covered in mud; my horse had not been brushed or curried in a very long time. She was dusty and her mane was tangled. And finally, there was only one guide per trail ride, where there should have been two; one leading and one at the rear of the ride. Most of the riders in my group had never ridden before, and had trouble keeping up and managing the horses. One woman fell off her horse, that I feel could have been avoided had there been a guide behind her. She was the last one in line and having trouble keeping up. Her horse was spooked and went one way and she the rider went the other way. She did not want to complete the ride, so we waited about 15 minutes for a four wheeler to come and get her. She also was not wearing a riding helmet. They were available, but they were so dusty and dirty, I don't blame her for not wanting to wear one. The helmets should be kept, maintained and issued from the front office. So not only were we late in starting the ride, our ride was also cut short for the woman who unfortunately fell off her horse. And finally, the 2 guides who were leading the 2 rides going out at the same time, debated in front of all the riders who was taking out which group. Obviously not a well run riding establishment. I would not recommend this stable to someone who has never ridden before, as it could turn them off from ever riding again.
