  I went to the Great Wall with a group of friends and it was probably our favorite day in Beijing. Our driver Andy was phenomenal he was really nice and easy to talk to. He told us some fun historical facts about the wall and answered all of our questions. Even when one of the areas we wanted to visit was closed due to rain he helped us find another area that we really enjoyed and was super helpful and friendly.

  I booked a private tour with driver and guide Helen. Helen brought me to a really nice part of the wall which is very untouched and few tourists. She told me a lot about the history and local culture and was great to chat with and explore local food options! Highly recommended.

  Amazone experience on the Great Wall, and very friendly driver. The part of Wall is really untouched, intense walking but very awesome.

  I used Leo’s driving service a couple years ago when I visited the Great Wall. I remember my group absolutely adored the driver and it was our favorite day of our trip. This time was just as great! I was with a different group of people and our driver, Andy, was wonderful. He explained the history of the wall and answered other historical questions we had. He drove us quickly and safely to the wall. Because it was raining, one of the sections we wanted to visit was closed, but he worked so hard to try to find alternatives (including trying to bribe the Great Wall workers for us to let us on) and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. The price was very reasonable. We didn’t want one of the main Great Wall tours on the website so I messaged the company about visiting just the two sections we wanted, and they replied quickly with prices and suggestions and weren’t afraid to tell us which sections to avoid. If I’m lucky enough to visit the Great Wall a third time then I will definitely use them a third time!

  We booked this trip through Local Panda which was a very easy to use site. We received a response regarding our booking almost immediately. Any questions we posed were addressed quickly (within minutes) which was important to us as we were leaving for China soon and we wouldn't be able to check our email (gmail) upon arrival in China without a VPN. Our tour guide was Jenny and we are so happy we were paired with her. She was very sociable and friendly. She was also very knowledgeable of the history of the Great Wall and also the general history of China. She provided us with very interesting and captivating facts during our ride to the un-restored Huanghuacheng Great Wall. This section of the wall is quite steep (runners are recommended) and it isn't as populated by tourists so it was very much a private tour which we appreciated. (We saw only one other small tour group far behind us, and a couple at the end of the trail in front of us.) During our hike/walk up the wall, she was very patient as we took many pictures. She would help us take pictures and was very flexible with the time. The lunch she brought us for afterwards was at a traditional Chinese restaurant that was clearly very popular with the locals. The food was VERY delicious. This private tour was DEFINITELY worth every penny and I would highly recommend it. It was definitely the highlight of our trip to Beijing. If you do book this tour, I would recommend asking for Jenny.
