Get ready for a thrilling adventure focused on respectfully observing the Humpback whales, dolphins and sea turtles of Huatulco! We meet 15 minutes before departure at the Chahué marina at the palapa roofed building next to the dock entrance. There are bathrooms there for our guests. Our crew of marine biologists greets you with a short briefing on the Humpback whales, dolphins and sea turtles as we depart the marina. There are lifejackets for guests from 3 year old children up to 130kg adults. We have a hydrophone (underwater microphone) to listen to the whales singing and dolphins communicating. We take you further, traveling to areas uniquely known to our team and network of spotters for the most sightings. Our unique approach ensures us the most whale and dolphin sightings in Huatulco. As we observe the dolphins and whales our guide shares information about their amazing lives, current research and answers your questions. Our goal is to share amazing observations of the whales, dolphins, sea turtles and all the species we encounter. When it is time, we say 'Adios y Gracias' to the whales and dolphins, then cruise back to the Chahué marina for a short debriefing.

5.00Peter, Tito and team were absolutely the best and made our family - including our two young children, feel comfortable right from the get-go. Super knowledgeable and passionate about ocean conservation efforts, we got to see whales, dolphins, turtles, rays and even a sea snake on our morning trip. One of the highlights of our trip to Mexico this year - an absolute treat. Highly recommended!

5.00We had such a special couple hours out on the ocean! We were only able to go for two hours but still saw huge pod of dolphins and a mama whale with her baby! Tito and Peter were very knowledgeable, warm and welcoming! We will definitely book again when we return, hopefully for a longer trip!!

5.00Excellent all around! The guides were fun, engaging, and very knowledgeable. The boat was solid, comfortable, and fast. The place and wildlife were magnificent! I highly recommend getting out on the water with Oceánico Huatulco.

5.00What a special Valentine’s Day. Three friends and I did a morning trip. We saw at least 15 whales, which we even heard singing; dolphins (but in the distance); about 30 sea snakes some of whom were mating; about 60 turtles including a leatherback; a jumping sail fish; jumping mobley rays; jelly fish and a percolating school of fish. Outstanding Day with this knowledgeable crew.

5.00This was our 3rd time visiting Huatulco and our 3rd time we went on an excursion with Peter and his team. We did both a morning whale and dolphin adventure and later in the week a Private tour with whale and dolphin watching and snorkeling. Both excursions were excellent. On the first excursion we quickly found 4 humpback whales including a mother and her calf. Along with the humpbacks there were dolphins close by trying to play with the whales. Later in the week we went on a private tour. We found a group of 6 humpbacks that were very active. They would surface and start "trumpeting". It honestly sounded like a heard of elephants. They were bumping each other and trying to show who was superior. Peter said we were very lucky to witness this. After this group we found another group of 5. This group included a mother and calf. We safely followed them getting excellent views of spouts and tails. For snorkeling Peter and Tito found a calm bay where the snorkeling was excellent. The variety of colorful fish we saw was awesome. We will be back in Huatulco next January and we will be booking multiple excursions with Peter and his team!

5.00Peter and Tito were amazing! It was really nice to be part of a smaller group and not herded onto a party barge. They had excellent Spanish and English-- Peter is Canadian-- and they knew so much! We saw a mom humpback and calf! Baby had the zoomies and breached several times. Mom breached once or twice as well. We saw rays leaping out of the water, caught a glimpse of sea turtles mating, saw a sea snake, and enjoyed a pod of dolphins. We were even able to listen to them talking via an on board microphone! Peter and Tito kept a respectful distance to the wildlife and limited the length of time we could be close. They were mindful of avoiding causing stress to the animals. We also enjoyed the snorkeling at the national park. They had chosen a spot that had a huge variety of fish to see and was relatively calm. An excellent place to see stunning and colorful fish! The boat ride was very comfortable and there was a small washroom on board. With their knowledge and their humour Peter and Tito provided us with a wonderful afternoon. Five stars would highly recommend!

5.00We had a spectacular experience in which we could observe hundreds of dolphins and several humpback whales. The guides are excellent and have a lot of knowledge about the species in this region, the trip was not only fun but very informative. Peter’s treatment is extremely kind and generous, not only with his knowledge but also trying his best to create an unforgettable experience for all attendees. 100% recommended!

5.00Very informative venture with experts in marine biology who are conversant in several languages. We saw two pods of dolphins, bottlenose and spotted, many Ridley turtles, yellow-bellied sea snakes, a leaping sailfish. No whales today, but the rest was fantastic. This was an excellent trip!

4.00We opted for an early 2-hour tour and it was perfect. Easy to get to from our hotel (marina), and a small group event. Owner Peter along with colleague Tony shared a lot of knowledge about the whales and turtles and quickly located whales to follow. We watched a mama and baby for a while saw a few sea turtles and also a man o ray flipping in the air over the water. All very cool! The boat was very small with little sun protection and could be hot if you are not properly dressed. Bring water and wear a hat & sunscreen! We enjoyed being up front watching all the action!

5.00On Jan 15, 25 We experienced the most remarkable whale watching tour with Oceanico in Huatulco. It was truly spectacular seeing dolphins within 15 minutes of the tour. We were treated to the breathtaking display of at least 5 Orcas and 2 Whales joceling for the best seafood about 7km off shore. We also saw at least 15 turtles, many manteray, and even a sea snake. We highly recommend this tour operator for their indepth knowledge of sea life, and giving guests an experience like no other...Thank you
