Humantay Lake
Our Excursion begins with the pickup collection from your hotel about 04:30 am to 05:00 am. Then we continue our journey in a private transport to the town of Mollepata famous for the Avocado Production in the area. Once we arrive there we will have a delicious breakfast and then continue to Soraypampa base camp (3900 m.a.s.l / 17.960 ft), from where hike begins for an hour and 45 minutes approximately to reach the Humantay Lake, surrounded by glaciers. When we reach Humantay we will enjoy the beautiful turquoise lagoon. There you will take the best photos. Then we will descend to Soraypampa to have lunch later in the afternoon we will return to Cusco by our Private transport.

5.00I did a hike through Humantay lake with Judith! It was well organized, positive, and a great experience. Judith is knowledgeable about the site & trail. Also, Judith was so motivating and positive. It was great because this was a very challenging hike and having someone there to set a pace and support our group was wonderful. It was one of my favorite parts on my trip of Peru! Judith also took beautiful photos on our phones for us.

5.00What an amazing experience! This was physically one of the most challenging things I’ve done and it was worth it. The views were phenomenal! Our guide Ronald was attentive, patient, and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

5.00We had an incredible time on our Lake Humantay hike thanks to our guide, Ronald. From the very beginning, he made us feel completely taken care of. He clearly explained the whole process, what to expect, and checked in with everyone throughout the journey. Ronald was extremely informative, patient, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He made the experience feel smooth and enjoyable, and we never felt rushed at any point. It was also great that everything was already included in the price, so we didn’t have to worry about any extras. If you’re thinking of doing the Lake Humantay hike, I highly recommend choosing Ronald as your guide—he truly made the day unforgettable!

5.00Ronald was a great leader for this hike, he made us feel very comfortable in the high altitude . He was able to find the non touristy picture spots since it was quite crowded at the top, he is also a great photographer!

5.00Ronald was amazing! He was knowledgeable and attentive when it came to concerns about the altitude or steepness of the hike. He clearly has a lot of experience on the lake humantay trail and it was such a pleasure to follow his lead. He made sure our entire group felt safe and comfortable throughout the hike. I would highly recommend everyone wishing to hike lake humantay choose Ronald as their guide! He made the experience so memorable. I wouldn’t have been able to complete the hike without his support and guidance!

5.00My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our hike to Humantay Lake in April, but found the hike to extra challenging because of mudslides in the area, as well as the effects of altitude sickness. Our guides, Roland and Ronald - were great! We would recommend this hike and trip to others - but be prepared for a challenge!

5.00The hike was definitely challenging because of the altitude. But our group had a great time! Judy was an awesome guide and the views were incredible. Our group hired private chefs for us and made breakfast before our hike and had lunch ready afterwards, that was an incredible bonus!
