LAGUNA Humantay lake is one of the most beautiful landscapes of the salkantay trek. It is located at the base of LAGUNA Humantay and Mountain. Is one of the mountains that you see in the salkantay trail. Lago Humantay was recently included in the itinerary of salkantay terk because is not located next to the trail. You have to get to the first camp of the Salkantay trail which is Soraypampa from there you take a trail with direction to Humantay mountain to enjoy the beauty of the lake. The lake is at 4200 mt / 13799 ft. formed by the glaciar water melt from Humantay mountain, the color of the lake is very special because of the minerals that the lake has, it has a turquoise color especially with the brightness of the sun

We loved the view and our driver pave l was so so good and considerate. He even dropped us at the airport so that we dont miss out flight. What amazing pictures and what a trek! Breathtaking view!

The tour is done in two stages, the agency passed in the hotel very early, around 5 am and we faced 2 hours of road to the place where we would have breakfast. A simple but pleasant breakfast. From there, it is 1 hour drive at the foot of the mountain climb to the starting point for the trail. The trail are 1 km of flat terrain and then 2 km of ingrime climb. The secret is to go calmly, respecting your body, stopping time or time to hydrate, breathe, chew coke, or swallow a little chocolate. At 1:40 of breathtaking breath due to the altitude of 4,000m, you arrive in one of the most stunning landscapes you have ever seen. You can be sure, it is very worth the effort and is an exciting place of beautiful!
