Hammsvik was so worth the one hour transfer. Not crowded, likely due to visiting on a Monday in a winter evening. The facilities were clean and inviting. And our driver/guide Carlos was friendly and gave us the right amount of advice in regards to the pools and restaurant. Would recommend to try the restaurant specifically the seafood soup! Top notch experience.

This was the best thing we did in Iceland by far!!! The staff were amazing- they were having issues with the water pump and it was going to delay us being able to go in for 2 hours. We were able to extend the tour time, but they offered us complimentary food and drink in addition to refunding us the entire amount of the tour! Absolutely amazing experience and the hospitality was incredible. Even if that hadn't happened, this would have been worth the full price. The springs were glorious, you can cold plunge right in the fjord, and the views were breathtaking. For food, the sourdough bread is so good and my friend loved the seafood soup (it had scallops, shrimp and green lipped mussels in it!) I will definitely be coming back on my next trip. Good info to know: Women's facilities have 2 WC, 2 showers with doors and 2 showers without anything. There is 1 private changing room.

Big praise to our bus driver from Reykjavok Excursions! Due to a problem with the pumps in the hot spring, our entry has been very delayed! ONLY because our bus driver was also willing to wait and postpone her evening we were able to carry out the program as planned! Respect! that's what I call customer-oriented work!

A very lovely and inspiring experience. If you are looking for a less commercial and more authentic thermal spa, this is definitely the place to come. Stunning location on the beach, overlooking the sea and snow capped mountains. Various pools to choose from, plus a pretty intense steam room also heated with the thermal water. We spent several hours just chilling and taking in the views. Not too busy, with a little cafe plus a drinks hatch so you can enjoy a glass of something in the pool. I would go to Iceland again just to come here!
