Departing from historic Granville Island, join Vancouver’s Original Whale Watchers on an intimate west coast adventure. Every tour is different as we explore the Strait of Georgia, Howe Sound, the Canadian Gulf Islands, and beyond in search of killer whales, humpbacks, seals, sea lions, eagles, and more! Sightings guaranteed or your next trip is free. Your adventure is professionally guided by a marine naturalist who will share insight on animal behaviour and provide you with a personalized educational experience. You will learn about the wildlife, ecology, history, and geography of our coast with particular emphasis on marine conservation. Tours vary between 3-5 hours depending on where the whales are on the day of your adventure.

5.00This was a new and wonderful experience. I loved the naturalist, Trish! She informed the group in multiple small groups lots of information on what we were observing. The boat’s captain did a great job as well.

5.00The trip to see whales exceeded our expectations. We saw all three types of whales it's possible to see on a half day trip from Vancouver. At first a grey whale blowing soon after we started, then numerous humpbacks. And on the way back a pod of Orca - a mum and three of her calves. Sophie was knowledgeable and friendly- the perfect naturalist. I certainly have no hesitation in recommending this trip.

5.00Amazing experience with a professional and safe company! We saw 6 Orca whales and 2 humpbacks, one of which breeched and we got some photos although not every whale wanted to come out to show us themselves which is fair enough! The boat was clean and safe and had toilets on board, seating and the front viewing platform and rear 2 side viewing areas. The staff and captain were knowledgable and friendly and helped us get the most out of our trip. We got a lovely keepsake Keyring at the end and went home very happy! I never get seasick so I loved the rough bits but I would say if you are a seasick sort of person this may not be for you, however they do have bags and also give you ginger sweets/candy to help so those who did feel unwell were not too bad!!

5.00The Wild Whales team is super friendly and the naturalists are experts, they know the sound and the animals like the back of their hand! The zodiac is the best option (if no rain) because you're in small groups and close to the sea level. We got see a pod of killer whales and stayed with them for about 45 min, while maintaining a distance to respect the animals, which is cool! Thanks Wild Whales for this incredible experience!

5.00We had a fantastic experience with Wild Whales today. Got to see transient orcas hunt a stellar sea lion up close. Awe inspiring! Our Wild Whales‘ boat captain and tour guide were both lovely and clearly very knowledgeable. I highly recommend whale watching with Wild Whales. The partly covered vessel keeps you out of the chill but also has great viewing given the front and back outdoor decks and because the windows slide up out of the way when the vessel stops to watch wildlife.
