5.00Muhammet is an exceptional guide. He met us at our hotel, took us for a cup of coffee and began the day with an orientation to the geography and human history of Istanbul. His knowledge is encyclopedic. He made the great spaces of Topkapi Palace come to life. At Hagia Sofia he pointed out details I am sure other guides did not include, and at the Blue Mosque gave us a primer on Muslim prayer practices that was both informative and personal. Without him we might have felt we had spent the day just looking at buildings, rather than savoring the humanity that both made and filled them over centuries. We ended the day with a stroll through the winding ways of Tahtakale, (for you New Yorkers, think Canal Street, 1970’s!) an immersion in the bustling everyday life of modern Stamboul. We will be ruminating on this for years to come. Well done!

Wonderful Pottery Shop in historic Istanbul

5.00We had booked a private guided tour and Q-Arts ceramics was our last stop. Such a charming shop full of beautiful works of art. They served us pomegranate tea and we watched master artisan Said make a teapot on a kick wheel. They let us take a turn on the wheel as well. It was a wonderful experience and we had a few souvenirs from our experience shipped home. It was a fantastic way to end our day in Istanbul’s Old Town.

5.00Muhammet is a very well informed tour guide and if you want to see the very best in both exclusive pottery art and carpet you need to take this tour. The quality will speak for itself and the information provided, even if you do not acquire a ceramic item, is well worth the tour!!!! I’ll bet you get a keepsake!

5.00The excursion was very exciting and insightful at the same time. We very much enjoyed our guide who was extremely interesting and have us a lot of historical background about Turkey and Istanbul. Although we had only one hour tour, we managed to go through so many things apart from Ceramics & Tiles & Pottery (Hagia Sophia, Seven Hills, etc.). Very much recommended !

5.00I had a great sunny Saturday in Istanbul because of Muhammet. He was my history teacher, told me how Istanbul become what is today, bring me to the Asian part of the city, show me all the big town from the highest point. It was amazing, I really recommend you to ask Muhammet everything about Istanbul and he will tell you a very beautiful and really story. From Istanbul with love!❤️
