A 1-day flash visit to discover the Brazilian Grand Canyon - Chapada Diamantina National park, an exclusive travel-package from @IvanBahiaGuide (the only travel guide offering this tour :-) Pickup in Salvador da Bahia (at your hotel/pousada/appartment at 6am) for a 5,5 hour drive to one of the most amazing regions in Brazil, Chapada Diamantina ('layers of diamonds'). We will drive to the portal of the National Park, walk the charming colonial village of Lençois, where we ascend to the 'Serrano de Lençois' (where you could swim in a natural waterfall/pool) . After lunch in Lençois we take of to the Poço do Diabo ('Devil's Pit) along the Mucugezinho river OR drive to the Mirante do Morro do Camélo. Then we close the afternoon with an ascension of the most famous Mount Pai Inacio (1.164m) where you will enjoy the absolute most beautiful views of this amazing national park. Time to drive back to Salvador where we take you back to your hotel/pousada/airbnb, arrival between 10-11pm.

5.00This trip is fast so may be a challenge for someone who needs a long recovery as the tide is long both there and back. That said though, the views are completely worth it. Ivan is an excellent guide and really ensures that you have the best experience with consideration as well for appropriateness in regard to fitness level and ability. You absolutely will not regret this tour regardless of length because Chapada Diamantina is absolutely breathtaking. This is the best way to see Chapada with limited time. Everything was completely arranged and accounted for including lodging in Lencois and transportstion, so you don’t have to lift a finger other than just booking the tour. Just book!

5.00We had a great time! Ivan knew all the locals routes and we were able to experience a really cool trail that wasn’t crowded at all. Lencois is a beautiful town and we wish we had more time! Chapada Diamantina is breathtaking. The trip was so worth it. It’s a lot of driving in one day and now that we know there is so much to see over there, we would go back and do the 2 day trip Ivan offers. If you have time, I recommend the 2 day trip so you get to see more. If you’re short on time, this one day express will be perfect for you.

5.00Intensive and wonderful 1 day trip ! Roundtrip is a bit hard but worth trying and save your time for the other activities of your stay in Salvador.

5.00After browsing the reviews on a lot of forums we selected Ivan Bahia because first he is French and also because for this tour there are only positive reviews. We confirm the reviews with an excellent mention. As we stayed only a few days in Bahia (and we wanted to see so many things) we found this day trip of Ivan (who apparently is the only one to do it) that offers to discover this Chapada Diamantina National Park in 1 day. Well, you have to know that it is a very long day (Ivan picked us up from our hotel in the morning at 5am and we were back in Salvador only at 9pm and a few) but then the landscapes we had in this canyon of Brazil, the small village of Lençois that we discovered and the walk in the surrounding woods (waterfalls and this weird place of sand parlor) made us conclude that it was really worth the detour and we regretted not taking a few more days in this region of this national park. A long but 100% satisfying day to do with Ivan

5.00Beyond Ivan’s knowledge of the Chapada Diamantina’s canyons and nearby areas, he takes you back to the source. In this tour, you bond with Mother Nature and its elements: Water, earth, wind... and you come out ever so respectful of nature. The tour is also fun; magic. He is a safe driver, and the only guide in the area to drive all those many kilometers to meet your needs. This tour is a must-take.
You can make it even for short stay in Salvador

5.00I stayed for only a few days in Salvador, so that I had thought that it was not possible to visit Chapada Diamantina. However, Ivan made it possible! Within only one day trip, he takes us to another highlight of Bahia state whch has very different aspect from beautiful beaches and churches of Salvador. Even with a limited time, Ivan guides very efficiently and you will not miss important sightseeing points in that region. Now you don't have to give it up visiting such an amazing place. Recommendable!

5.00Thoroughly professional service in English (one of his multiple languages) from Ivan that, as we were short on time staying in Salvador, allowed us to see the pretty and vibrant Lencois village and also some highlights of the Chapada Diamantina ranges. Recommended if you don't have time to spend several days hiking/camping in the park but still dont want to miss out!

5.00Ivan was amazing in this tour. He took really good care of us and made sure we see the top highlights of this amazing national park. Then he took us back straight to the hotel just outside the door. It was an amazing day. I really recommend this to anyone who only has a little time in Salvador but does not want to miss this gem which is Chapada Diamantina

5.00We only have a few days in Salvador & was very keen to go and visit Chapada Diamantina National Park on a day trip. Every tour company does at least a 3 day trip, however, we were very lucky to find Ivan to take us on this tour. Ivan speaks 5 different languages: English, Portuguese, Dutch, French, Spanish and is very professional and prompt with his responses. He brought us to Lencois, some waterfalls/ natural eroded rock formation and the Grand Canyon of Brazil. We also have had a very nice local lunch (paid by weight) at Lencois, it’s our first and last one, the only one that looks hygienic and very delicious. It was 5.5 hours to and 7.5 hours journey back but the 5 hours spent at the National Park was well worth it! We give it to Ivan for taking on such long and grueling drive and also the mini hiking in the heat of the day in the National Park. It’s not an easy feat for him. If this tour is not for you, he can always personalise other tours for you as you wish. Approach him for more details. = )
