The entrance portal to Jalapão by air is Palmas, the capital of Tocantins, in this way, the day before or in the morning of the departure date of the expedition, and at the agreed time, we will pick you up at the airport of Palmas and carry out the transfer to the Select Hotel, starting our services. We suggest taking the day to get to know the city.

Around noon, we will have lunch at the Restaurante do Evilson.
At around 8:00 am, we will leave the hotel in Palmas and head towards Taquaruçu, where we will discover the longest zip line in the northern region, to practice the Voo do Pontal.
Cachoeira da Roncadeira
After catching our breath, our destination is the Escorrega Macaco e Roncadeira Waterfall, a 60m drop.
Evilson Waterfall
After lunch we go to Cachoeira do Evilson. Towards the end of the afternoon we will meet a traditional family, where the experience of the babassu coconut will take place.

Restaurante da Dona Almerinda, a very welcoming local resident, she will serve us a genuinely jalapoeiro menu.
Pedra Furada Jalapao
At 8 am, after breakfast, we will leave Taquaruçu and head towards Ponte Alta, Portal do Jalapão, around 10:30 am we will know a completely different place, we will experience the earth element in its most beautiful form, Morro da Pedra Furada.
Lagoa Do Japones
After lunch, we will visit Lagoa do Japonês, a lagoon with crystal clear water and emerald and blue tourmaline tones. We will return to Ponte Alta in the late afternoon, where we will stay and have dinner around 8pm.

Lunch at the Quilombola Rio Novo Community, where we will have lunch at Cleuza's restaurant, a local resident.
Canion Sussuapara
At 8:00 am, after breakfast, we will leave Ponte Alta and cross the Portal do Jalapão to Coração do Jalapão, with a total of 190 km of dirt road, on the way we will visit the Sussuapara Canyon, a sanctuary, where it always seems to be raining.
Praias do Rio novo
Around noon we will be at the Rio Novo Quilombola Community. Here, the experience of Paçoca de Carne Seca will take place. After a few minutes of rest, we will discover a beautiful little beach with drinking water.
Dunas do Jalapao
We will end the day in a surreal place, the incredible Dunas do Jalapão, and if all goes well, we will see a beautiful sunset. We'll head to the inn in Mateiros, and around 8 pm we'll have dinner.

Lunch will be at the Quilombola Mumbuca Community, at the Viola de Buriti restaurant, with the hostess Josi and her daughters.
Fervedouro Encontro das Aguas
After breakfast, we will leave eager to discover the famous fervedouros. We will carry out a gradual sequence of boilers, from the weakest to the strongest in water pressure, and our suggestion is: “enter all the boilers, each one is special”.

The most beautiful for photography.
Povoado de Mumbuca
This community carries a legacy of over 300 years. Cradle of Golden Grass. Here we will have lunch for the day, with experiences of Capim sewing, Viola de Buriti Experience, Experience with Doutora do Cerrado, visit to the community grass shop with an exhibition of all crafts produced by all artisans in the Community.
Fervedouro do Buriti
Boiler of odd beauty, from Lino's family. All native to the region.
Fervedouro do Ceica
The oldest brewery, first open to the public. A singular beauty and a great floating experience.

Lunch at the Quilombola Prata Community Association, food with spice and affection.
Serra do Espirito Santo
For out door walk lovers, the day will start at 4 am. Today we will wake up early, it will be a spectacular dawn, we will get in the vehicle and head towards Serra do Espírito Santo, with clear weather we will see the most impressive sky in Brazil, with more stars than anyone can count. The ascent is short, about 750m, but challenging, a medium to difficult level, everything going well, we will watch a beautiful dawn on top of the Serra. Around 8:00 am we will be at the inn having breakfast.
Formiga Waterfall
When we least expect it, we will be resting in the waters of the most beautiful waterfall in Jalapão, Cachoeira do Formiga, and at that moment everything will be worth it.
Fervedouro Das Macaubas
After a good bath, Fervedouro Macaúbas will be our next destination, with a unique feeling among the fervedouros.
Here we will have lunch at the association, managed by the families of the community, where each lunch is held by one family at a time. We will also have the experience of coffee with brown sugar.
Fervedouro Bela Vista
The day will end in the waters of Fervedouro Bela Vista, the largest and best known in Jalapão. We will then head to the inn and around 20:00 dinner will be served.

EASY LEVEL 08:30 Preparation New adventurers wear mandatory equipment and receive instructions on the activity. 09:00 Departure. Entrance of the boat in the river with all on board. 11:30 Arrival by the river at Praia das Araras. End of activity. LOGISTICS We left São Félix, drove 10 km and arrived at the rafting entrance. We left the cars, got into the boats and continued along the river for 12 km to the starting point. The rafting departure point is 18 km from the city center. If you choose to take this tour, it does not change the others on the itinerary, which will be suitable.
Fervedouro Do Alecrim
Today will be a special day, it will be our farewell. At around 8 am, right after breakfast, we will leave the inn and head to Fervedouro do Alecrim, the oldest in São Félix. For those going rafting, you can do this activity the night before.
Cachoeira das Araras
Then we go to Cachoeira da Arara, and here it will be our farewell to the waters of Jalapão.
Serra da Catedral do Jalapao - RPPN
At 3 pm, we will pass in front of Morro da Catedral and take photographs to remember this expedition forever, and at the end of the afternoon we will be in Palmas. Free dinner.

5.00It was a really amazing journey. In it we did trails, rapel, tirolese, rafting and visited boilers, waterfalls, lagoons and other scenarios that seemed to be made by Artificial Intelligence. It was 7 days of immersion in the natural beauties, the stories and the lives of the Kilombola communities, and the entire team of Jalapão Expediciones through Henrique, Michele, Luiz, Ourinho (Irawilson) and Lucas were essential for the experience to be the best possible. Henrique and Michele always attentive and helpful to take questions and guide us in the best way possible, Luiz very kind and professional, while Ourinho and Lucas well prepared, with a lot of professionalism and knowledge of the place led us to the attractions at the best times thus avoiding a crowded place or with queues, all were very partner and focused on the best possible experience for me and my wife. I recommend Jalapão Expeditions, I am sure you will have the best experience of Jalapão with them.

5.00I traveled for the first time to the Tocantins with my family and the experience could not have been better!! Beautiful landscapes, amazing adventures (rapel, trail, waterfalls, rafting, tyrolese) and great experiences in the local communities. Super comfortable guesthouses and lunch and talk wheels in the communities were a caress apart. I am especially grateful to the guides Irawilson and Lucas who accompanied us during the 6 days. And also the transfer of Luiz at the reception and Michelle who gave us all the support we needed. Indicative of closed eyes!!!

5.00I traveled with Jalapão Expeditions in 2022 and now again with my family in 2025. Always impeccable both in the script and in the organization! I sincerely thank you for your affection for me and my family. It was 6 days of an unforgettable experience. Breathtaking landscapes and unique experiences in local communities. The guides Irawilson and Lucas were amazing in the day-to-day with us, always willing, super partners and good photographers. Transfer Luiz from a sympathy only! I had to arrive a day later on the expedition for personal matters and took me from Palmas to the nearby town so I could meet my group and follow the journey. Michelle and Henrique are also always willing to help us and encouraging the group of the trip! I recommend everyone to meet Tocantins with this amazing agency! I'd do it all a thousand times ❤️
