You will be picked up from your hotel in Amman to join a small group to visit Jerash with a private English-Speaking Driver who doubles up as your guide.
Jerash Ruins
Wander among the original temples, theaters, plazas, paths, and colonnaded streets; all enclosed within the remaining city walls. Within the city walls have been found the remains of settlements dating from the Bronze Age, the Iron Age, the Hellenistic, Roman, Byzantine, Umayyad and Abbasid periods, indicating human occupation at this location for more than 2,500 years. A local English-Speaking Guide will be included for your classic 2 hours visit of this Roman Decapolis City of Jerash. This ancient city was one of the most prosperous in the Roman Empire, and was covered by sand for centuries until its remnants were discovered in 1806 A.D.

4.00Wow! What an amazing site. It’s so well preserved and huge much bigger than we thought it would be. We spent about 2hrs in total here. Our driver set us up with a guide at the site. He explained all the history and it was nice to get to know what all the sites were would def recommend getting a guide to help you know what you’re looking at. We then had some time to explore ourselves before headed back to the shops. We heard the shops were very pushy but didn’t feel that way, everyone was nice and respectful of you said no (La in Arabic) and kept walking. There were some neat items but you can get better prices back in Amman touristic shops.

5.00I highly recommend this great trip to Jerash. Basel, my driver, was very friendly, courteous and interesting to speak to en route to Jerash. My guide at Jerash was enthusiastic and excellent. Zaid Tours is a very well run operation, answering my questions promptly. Jerash is a very beautiful site and should not be missed.

5.00I normally don’t write reviews, but I felt compelled to let everyone know about my outstanding driver Hasan. He made my short stay in Jordan an a very pleasant experience. Very professional, clean car, excellent English and very nice conversation. If you are booking a tour or transfer with Ziad Tours, I would highly recommend you ask for Hasan!! 5.00Jerash was amazing! Thanks to our drivers advise we started early to avoid the afternoon heat. Just to think I was walking on the same ground that so many different civilization had trod was astounding!
