Poland was once a home to one of the largest Jewish communities in the world and a center of this thriving civilization was Kraków. Its historical Jewish district is a jewel of Jewish art and architecture. A place where 7 ancient synagogues, that amazingly survived the destruction of World War II and the Holocaust, stand witness to the test of time.

During our tour we will discover the historical context of the local Jewish community, talk about the death and destruction of World War II but also witness the amazing Jewish culture’s revival in contemporary Kraków.

Please note that booking this tour you will be joining our general pay as you wish tour (tour in which it is up to the guest how to reward his or her guide). In this case the amount you pay covers the reservation fee and the guide's payment. If you wish to join a smaller, private tour let us know and we will organise it for you!

Great visit to the Kazimierz! Maciek showed us all the nooks and crannies and agreed to share his knowledge for 3 hours and honestly, it was so interesting that we didn't see time pass (he knows everything!). I recommend 10000%

Everything perfect Alice is a machine has been super good yesterday we made the one in Krakow and today the one in the Jewish Quarter and it has been super cool super recommended be careful now in winter with the sewers!!

Alice is a machine! Very friendly all very well explained, she has a lot of devotion to her work, a professional. We're from Victor Rodriguez! We were with her on the tour of Krakovia and the Jewish quarter.

Our guide Tomasz was fantastic. He was so well informed, well spoken, amusing, and engaging. He was able to lead the group as a collective while making each individual feel seen. We learned so much even in the short time that we had before needing to leave halfway through (we wanted to stay though)

I forget our guides name but he was excellent. His knowledge about Jewish and European history was amazing and obviously very relevant. We really liked how he did not focus on just the few years around WW2 but the hundreds of years leading up to it and the decades after. I'd highly recommend!
