Poland was once a home to one of the largest Jewish communities in the world and a center of this thriving civilization was Kraków. Its historical Jewish district is a jewel of Jewish art and architecture. A place where 7 ancient synagogues, that amazingly survived the destruction of World War II and the Holocaust, stand witness to the test of time.
During our tour we will discover the historical context of the local Jewish community, talk about the death and destruction of World War II but also witness the amazing Jewish culture’s revival in contemporary Kraków.

A must do tour! We had “Big Tom” and despite the rain and cold, he preserved like it was no bother ! Very engaging and informative. Tom really knows his history and was highly intelligent. I think doing the Jewish Quarter and the ghetto on your own would be underwhelming and you would miss so much. Tom showed us so much, lots of synagogues and key places, embellishing them with true stories. Whilst the tone of this tour is obviously devastating, what Tom highlighted was also the stories of love and hope in humanity that can come from atrocious pain. If we had more time we would book again with him on another tour. We paid on the Viator app but what we didn’t realise is you can book direct with the company and then volunteer a contribution. Even though we had pre paid, we gave a tip at the end as he was truly deserving. If you are reading this and you have time, before visiting Krakow , you must watch the Schindler’s List film if you are unfamiliar (shocking but I think some people haven’t). Thank you Tom, really loved the tour!

The most incredible and powerful tour I’ve done and it was made by Tomasz. His knowledge of history and more importantly, his passion to bring it to life, meant that a 2hrs 40mins tour went by too quickly. Powerful, informative, with laughs and tears… simply amazing

The walking tour of the Jewish Quarter in Kraków was really great. Our guide, Juliusz, was fantastic - a font of knowledge and a really engaging speaker. If you're coming to Kraków and want to learn about this very important side to the city's history, I can't recommend this tour highly enough 🌟

With met our guide Victoria who spoke good English. Her knowledge, discretion and empathy was superb. She explained everything that had happened during the persecution of the Jews. We went to many synagogues and many you wouldn’t have known that were synagogues; I was shocked to learn the lower floors had to be below pavement levels. Having doing this walk before under my own steam we realised we missed a lot. Highly recommend and wear comfortable shoes as the tour was 2 and a half hours; could have gone on longer but it was getting cold.

Maciek was one of the best tourguides I ever had! Rhetorical outstanding, showing a great sense of humour and at the same time explaining the context of the historical events and former life in Kasimierz. Many thanks to him and best recommendation to book a tour!

Magda was a fantastic guide giving us the history and adding a personal touch to her delivery of her expansive knowledge of the history of this area of Krakow. In the hope humanity will not repeat such atrocities.

Lucy was charming, informative, passionate about the subject and great company. This timeline of Jewish history is harrowing and Lucy delivered it in a way that I'm still thinking, and talking about the things I learned. My friends and I loved this tour.

I was genuinely moved by Ania’s beautiful yet honest portrayal of Jewish Kraków, both before and after the war. Her storytelling was rich, heartfelt, and deeply human. She spoke with such sensitivity and knowledge, helping us feel the weight of history while offering comfort to those who were visibly touched. Ania shared personal reflections that made the experience feel intimate and real — it was more than a tour; it was a journey through memory and empathy.
