Basilica of San Clemente
The first stop will be at the Basilica of San Clemente. A building that tells the story of Christianity in an extraordinary way, with three overlapping archaeological levels, dating back to different eras

Afterwards we will head to the Papal Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano, "the cathedral of Rome". It is the mother church of the Catholic Church and the residence of the pope as bishop of Rome. Built in the fourth century by Constantine, it is the oldest of the papal basilicas. Inside you will find the magnificent Holy Staircase (the staircase that, according to tradition, Jesus ascended to Jerusalem). San Giovanni in Laterano is also home to the Lateran Archbasilica, a symbol of the bond between the Church and the city of Rome

5.00Matteo did a fabulous job explaining every stop on the tour. He made a point to take us to the churches we asked to be taken. He was courteous, very entertaining, and overall was a pleasure to be with on this tour. I recommend Matteo 100%.

5.00Daniella created the most amazing miracle of a day for me. Outside of the regular tour she went off the beaten path and took me to Santa Croce in Gerusalemme where I had an out of body experience with Jesus Himself. The church held the most sacred relics on earth - 2 thorns from His crown of thorns, a giant nail that pierced His precious wrist, a piece of wood from His Cross, the wooden sign placed above His precious head that reads “King of the Jews”, and the actual finger of Doubting Thomas that was placed in Jesus’s side, I broke down in tears and sobbed when I viewed the size of the nail that ferociously nailed His wrist to the cold wooden cross. I felt Jesus today - His spirit touched my heart and I felt His pain and sorrow and humiliation. I am in Italy for 2 more weeks and this tour was not even part of my itinerary. I was trying to kill time until my husband joins me this evening as he is flying from business in Thailand arriving at 7:20 PM. Marriott Grand Flora concierge magician Massimo made a call and Daniela came from her day off to take me. What a gift from God. How blessed can I possibly be to have had such an incredible experience. Life changing- my life is forever changed because of Daniela. We finished the tour over a cup of cappuccino. ❤️🙏❤️🙏
