This wildlife viewing excursion takes you on a journey to see two of the major highlights in Southeast Alaska. You will be guided to the Mendenhall Glacier for a 45 minute self-exploration followed by our wildlife whale watching tour. Once you have had a chance to explore the glacier park on your own, we will take you to the whale watching harbor where you will come aboard one of our state-of-the-art vessels to search for majestic Humpback Whales and other water wildlife we may find along the way. Our expert captains and naturalists are so familiar with these amazing creatures that we can actually guarantee you will see whales in their natural habitat from a safe distance. Our boats are equipped with restrooms and heated cabins to make this journey extra comfortable. Our fleet of fast jet boats all have plenty of outdoor deck space so you can choose to watch the wildlife in the open air or from the comfort of the cabin. The tour company was a local company and provided a wonderful and fun whale watching experience. Chris, Genevieve, and Megan were all knowledgeable of the waters and the habitat of the whales. They treated us to Humpbacks, a baby Humpback that breached multiple times, and a pod of orcas! All in one afternoon! It was spectacular. Thank you ladies for the best trip on our trip!

Worth it! Greg took us to the glacier first where we had about 45 minutes to explore. Not enough time to get to Nugget falls but you could view it from the areas we were at. Seeing the glacier in person, it was easy to forget this was only part of the tour. Up next, the whale watch. The boat was very nice, clean, comfortable and easy to maneuver on. And they gave us snacks! We were taken out into the ocean to look for whales. Ashley was very informative and knew a lot about what we were seeing with a lot of stories about each of them individually. We learned a lot that afternoon. Greg was good about quickly getting us in position when more spottings happened. It was a good way to spend the day in Juneau.

Loved Alaska Tours with Kacie, Justin, and Nate aboard the George Mason. Very informative and we saw 2 whales that breeched! So exciting to see Sasha and her baby Chacha! Kacie knows her stuff and you can tell she loves her work! Great time! Highly recommend!

We enjoyed both the Mendenhall Glacier and Whale Watching, the shuttle driver was very knowledgeable and informative. Whale watching with Michelle, Ash and Taylor was great we saw many whales from a distance and had three come up very close to our boat.

The best part of this trip was the bus tour guide JAY who kept the bus ride informative and entertaining. You can get to the mendenhall glacier on your own and save money on this tour because you don’t have time to go to Nugget Falls and that is really cool. They give you an hour at the glacier. Obviously we went in September so you can expect to see less animals than other months, but the boat tour only gives you a small granola bar. During this 4.5 hour tour no water was offered or given out. Seems like a pretty long tour to give only a granola bar and not even a water bottle. I felt bad for older people who were also upset about that. We only saw 3 whales during our 2 hour tour which was still Cool but there was a whale off the back of the ship I could see and Genevieve, one of the deck hands, yelled at me I had to go back inside. I wanted to stand out and watch it since we only did see a few whales but they didn’t allow me to which frustrated me. I should also not if you are taller than 5’5” the bus that takes you from point a to b is very very tight. You barely have any room in there. Like I said JAY is the best bus guide. He is funny and kind and was also in the Army so we appreciated his service. Overall the day was good but there are a few ways they could make this better: 1.) bigger bus 2.) better snacks and WATER 3.) if I see a whale and want to watch it, let me. There are guard rails all over for me to hold onto. And a tip: 3.) ask for JAY as your bus guide
