  The boat tour was a very interesting look at the large homes along the canals. We also saw many huge yachts of the rich and famous, along with cruise ships in Port Everglades. The guide was pretty good but not outstanding. We were disappointed to find that parking was quite far away and cost an additional $20. Overall a good tour for first timers.

  It’s a 90 minute tour of mansions and history with a fun outdoor bar “mainland bar” overlooking the harbor to enjoy before the cruise. Beautiful day on the water.

  First, since the boat doesn’t leave until 6 pm, you will not see many homes before it gets dark if you go in Dec or January. Keep that in mind. Next they tell you to be at the check in point by 4:45. Unless you want to buy their overpriced drinks for over an hour, 5:30 is good. I went on a Sunday and there were still plenty of good seats available on the upper deck and people will still boarding after 5:30. Parking: They suggest you park at the Bahia Mar Resort but don’t tell you about a $20 parking voucher available onboard the boat on your return trip. Without the $20 voucher you’ll pay $55 for parking. You should also consider parking across the street at the metered beach parking lot. The boat narrator was good and informative. The food was tolerable. The ribs were dry and chewy but edible. The chicken was likely prepackaged and ok but I would recommend removing the breading and just eat the chicken. The baked beans and macaroni were nothing special. The cole slaw was good and the corn bread was exceptional. Our server was very attentive and stopped by several times to refill our plate, if desired. All drinks were extra including soft drinks. Water was on the table. Dessert was extra and way overpriced. Be sure to tip server directly rather than leave tip on table. The entertainment was excellent with talented performers. The island is worth seeing if you have time although no general announcement was made about returning to the boat. Boat ride back to dock was in the dark and uneventful. This is a worthwhile excursion but just be mindful of my suggestions.

  Really a fun trip! Not too crowded and excellent narration. We did the 90 minute tour and it was just right. Lots of places to eat right where you board and a nice bar on the ship if you want beverages there. The boat went slow enough to see everything and there’s a bathroom on board that was clean and worked well. We had a great time and have been talking about it since we left the boat. Very helpful and friendly staff.

  Car was very clean. She is a good driver and very friendly! She has a distinct vehicle which was easy to spot in a crowded area.

  Very smooth operation. Crew were very welcoming and friendly. Commentary on trip was interesting and informative. A lovely trip of good value.

  Shorter than previous cruises but still good. no longer goes to their Island. We missed that part.

  Mason was a great tour guide. Very funny commentary we enjoyed our experience and would recommend to people traveling on Fort Lauderdale.
