• The best tour provider we have ever experienced

  We booked a similar tour with another company (Saharansky - beware, if you don’t want your holidays to be ruined!), which cancelled it during the night, literally a few hours before the pickup time, giving a fake reason - “due to political event”. Being completely stressed out that we will have no tour at all, I found this company and I booked a tour at 3 AM. Despite such a short notice, they managed to organize a driver within a few hours and we got the best one we’ve ever had. Sami was extremely considerate, supportive, polite and he was simply doing everything to make us have a great time. He walked us through all the places, protecting us from scammers and he was always thinking ahead, which showed his professionalism and big experience. We enjoyed the tour a lot and even my daughter, who usually complains about everything, was following him without hesitation. At the end we also received small bottles of olive oil from his mom’s farm, which was a really sweet gesture that rounded up the whole experience. I highly recommend him and the whole company, they are super professional and their customer oriented attitude will hopefully always remain at such a high level.

  Trip was exceptional. Sami is an expert in driving to all locations and was always prompt and safe. Super nice person. Ribat of Monastir and El Jem’s Amphitheatre were super amazing to see. The mosaic museum was a surprise- realized how cool it would have been to see the mosaics in the actual House of Africa itself.

  We booked at short notice and received a confirmation within minutes. We corresponded with our driver Khalil before the trip. It was a smooth drive to Kairouan, Khalil was a very knowledgeable guide who showed us many hidden places we otherwise would not have discovered. El Jem (museum and amphitheater) were breathtaking! We can recommend the tour!

  Sami was our driver and tour guide today. He was punctual and informative throughout the trip. He is friendly and patient, and did his best to accommodate our requests. We appreciated his service.

  A great day trip out to see some of the sites around the area we were staying in. Our driver Bader was fabulous, very knowledgeable about each of the attractions we visited and had a great sense of humour which he shared whilst we were travelling. None of the sites were busy, even the Médina was reasonably quiet. Wasn’t happy about the camel being used to turn the water wheel - I didn’t see the need for this at all. We felt safe, relaxed and comfortable throughout the day. We enjoyed the day so much that we booked a second day trip to Turin and Carthage with Bader which was even more enjoyable as Ramadan had ended and he was able to share lunch with us. TIPS - Wear flatish walking shoes as it can be quite uneven underfoot especially in the Médinas. Although the talk about the production of carpets at Kairouan is interesting, be ready for the sales push at the end if you don’t want to be making room for a rug in your suitcase!

  

  

  

  

  

  

• Not worth getting a tour guide, just book a taxi for cheap

  The guide Bader was a very friendly man but he said he was new to being a guide. He took us to El Jem in the car and asked us to go around and meet him at the cafe after 50 minutes. He did the same in the old town mosque. We were taken there and were asked to walk around unguided He took us to a very nice shop after that. He was extremely friendly and even offered to take us out to a different location the next day. Due to his lack of knowledge about Tunisia we declined the offer. However, we mentioned we liked coffee so he took us to his local shop and we got coffee from there albeit a little bit forcsed upon us. He also took us to his favorite sweet shop and we ended up buying half a kilo of sweets too again a little bit forced. (Maybe we need to learn to say NO in Tunisia lol) After talking to other people in the hotel, we felt that we could have got a private taxi to do this for less money.

  Fantastic day out with Sami, our driver and guide. Spotlessly clean and comfotable car. Sami was so polite and respectful. We saw beautiful architecture, culture and historical sites. • Kairouan, El Jem & Monastir Day Trip from Sousse

  Our driver, Sami, was courteous, succinct and punctual. He made contact the night before our trip via WhatsApp and then he picked us from our hotel in Sousse the following morning. The journey started with an hours drive to Kairouan and a stop to visit the mausoleum of Sidi Sahbi. We purchased tickets (12 dinar pp for both the mausoleum and mosque) and were introduced to a guide who explained the history behind the housing of the tomb of a companion of the Prophet Muhammad (Note: a tip for his services is appreciated). Then onto the Great Mosque, which we were left to explore on our own (Note: ladies are required to cover their heads). Our driver washed, prayed and then kindly sent us pictures/videos from within the Mosque itself, which was nice gesture. From there we travelled for another hour to the Roman amphitheatre of El Jem. Once again we purchased tickets (12 dinar pp for the colosseum and museum). What a 'gem' this wonder really is! (Note: it requires climbing lots of steps to get the best views). Following that we visited a Roman archaeological museum and viewed the fantastic mosaics. Another hours drive brought us to the Ribat of Monastir. A defensive structure overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. A climb to the top of the tower is a must. We were finally dropped off at our hotel approximately 8 hours after we started. Sami was great and his parting gift was much appreciated. A grand day out!
