Kayaking over the seagrass flats is where you may find the smaller marine creatures. Such as sea stars, sea urchins, whelks, conchs, and hermit crabs. Each trip is unique and led by a certified Florida Master Naturalist. It’s one thing to see wildlife but another to learn how each creature and tree is all connected. Every day is a new adventure.

Don Pedro Island State Park
The Don Pedro Island State Park is only accessible by boat or kayak. We explore this island from the water once we launch from the Don Pedro Island State Park Land Base. We are not affiliated with the state park and use the land base location as a launching point.
Little Gasparilla Island
Your guide will explain how the island is connected to Little Gasparilla Island, and you may enter the island on the bay side where the old "LGI Pass" used to be, we now refer to the landing as "Mangrove Cove Beach"

5.00The tour was exceptional with our guide Danny. They gave my mom water since she forgot and they took pictures and sent them to us. He was kind and patient and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend this to anyone!

5.00We had an outstanding experience during our 2 hour tour with Tye. He was very knowledgeable about the eco system as well as local history. His enthusiasm for his job was evident. We were lucky enough to have perfect kayaking conditions and were visited by several manatees. As a local resident for over 8 years, this was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had since we moved here.

5.00We did the 9:30 am 2-hour Kayak Eco Tour in Don Pedo Island on a beautiful Sunday morning. Danny was our guide. There were 8 kayakers on the tour. For the couple that hadn't kayaked before, Danny gave a quick lesson of do's and don't before we left. On our tour, we saw a few dolphins, a variety of birds, and lots of jumping fish (mullet). It was cool watching the Osprey dive for their food. Danny picked some conch shells, upside down jellyfish, sea urchins, crabs out of the water to show us before gently putting them back. We learned much about the area, and a highlight was paddling through the mangrove tunnels. Danny took lots of pictures so we didn't have to bring our cameras (phones) with us. It was a very informative tour.

5.00Rented a 2 person kayak for 4 hours. My wife and I had a great time. We saw dolphins that were within 3 feet of kayak. We saw starfish, I think it was Patrick. We docked the kayak and walked on Don Pedro beach. Staff was friendly and gave us training as this was my wife's first time on a kayak. I would highly recommend SUP.

5.00My wife, my son and his 9 year old daughter rented 2 tandem Kayaks to Don Pedro Island and through the mangroves. A beautiful calm day and we spent around 20 minutes watching a dolphin hunt. All and all, an amazing 4 hours. Well worth it and the SUP group was awesome!

5.00Danny was a terrific guide! He was knowledgeable and was amazing at spotting marine life. We definitely would not have known what to look for - learned so much and had a great experience. Everyone we came in contact with, either by phone or in person, was friendly and helpful. He even took loads of great pictures of what we saw and of us then shared them with us at the end of our tour. It's a public park and dock so you can put in if you car-top your own. It's a roughly 800ft walk from the parking lot so be prepared to carry your SUP or kayak. However, they kindly offer the use of their carts if they are open for business and are not too busy. My friend and I went on a Friday and were lucky to have calm water and barely any motor boats. I returned on Saturday on my own with my own SUP - not as fun with so many motor boats who did not respect the no wake zone.

4.00Wonderful experience kayaking in a peaceful body of water. Staff was thorough with preparing you. We did not see manatees and only 2 dolphins so I suggest going before 10:30am.

5.00We had a wonderful experience with SUP Englewood. We spent a beautiful day kayaking at Don Pedro State Park with Nicole and our family, and it could not have been better. We saw a manatee and dolphins, and Nicole was very informative about the ecology of the area and the local wildlife. It was the perfect excursion to show our Michigan family the natural beauty of where we live.

5.00This was by far the coolest Florida experience I’ve ever had in 30 years of Florida visits. We ventured out with our kids and the map and it was quite the adventure. Being up close to dolphins was unbelievable. The serenity of the water is indescribable. And the paddle only beach was a tropical dream of clear water and sandbars. Pack a lunch and adventure out you won’t be disappointed.

5.00We did the eco kayak tour with Jeff Gillette and had a fantastic time. He helped us see manatees, dolphins, osprey, ibis, and more! He was patient and kind with our family member who is in active chemotherapy and a bit weak. He taught our teen how to kneel on her SUP when manatee or dolphins were nearby. It made the whole intergenerational family happy. Highly recommend this trip over others in the area.
