Zhinvali Water Reservoir
Our driver will meet you in the morning at your hotel or chosen pickup address. You will then depart from Tbilisi early in the morning, heading towards Kazbegi along the scenic road through the Great Caucasus Mountains. Our first stop will be at Zhinvali Reservoir, a stunning artificial lake on the Aragvi River, surrounded by mountains. It’s a perfect spot for memorable landscape photography and to enjoy the peaceful natural beauty of Georgia.
Just 15 minutes after Zhinvali Reservoir, we arrive at Ananuri Castle, one of Georgia’s most popular tourist attractions. This historic fortress includes two churches and a 16th-century defensive tower within its walls. The fortress complex is beautifully situated on the shores of Zhinvali Reservoir, whose turquoise waters create a truly remarkable backdrop. Ananuri used to be the seat of the eristavis (dukes) of Aragvi. Here, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the mountains and the water, explore the picturesque fortress, and wander through the rich history that surrounds this iconic site.

5.00This was an excellent experience! And it's a must if you have a spare day in Tbilisi. Our driver Gogita was on time for the pick-up. He gave a detailed and informative tour throughout the day and answered any questions we had. Gogita recommend a place for lunch this was excellent!! 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 For the entire day.

5.00Gogi was really nice guide and driver The car was premium and the guide was before time. We took our own time and there was no disturbance from Guide. He also guided us the good restaurants where food was really nice Overall it's a really nice experience

5.00George was an excellent guide, very informative and helpful. Highlights were Gergeti church and Ananuri castle and church, and seeing so much of such spectacular mountains. The Caucasus mountains are absolutely wonderful and no one should visit Georgia without seeing them. Our only disappointment was not being able to see Kasbegi because it was covered in mist, but the other mountains were a great compensation.

5.00It was a lovely tour! We had Gogi to drive and show us around and he was absolutely amazing! He was right on time and even accomodating as we needed to be dropped off to a different location than our hotel after the tour. His driving skills were insane and the information shared throughout the way very interesting. It was so good we booked a second tour with him for Tbilisi Chronicles and Mtskheta for the next day. Recommend 10/10

5.00Special thanks to our guide George he was very helpful and took wonderful photos. The car was clean and comfortable. Views from Gudauri monument were amazing. We have tried short horse riding in Ananuri was very nice experience.

5.00The entire trip was full of breathtaking views, mountains and valleys were amazing and greenery. If you love nature and wanted to know about Georgia history you should take this trip. My private tour guide was a patient and not only he explained about their culture & history but also help me took the great pictures whenever we stopped. I would recommend to take private tour so that you can manage yourself. Of course you have to pay a little more money but I’m assure that it will worthy.
