This trip in one day will give you breathtaking mountain landscapes, introduce you to the ancient history of Georgia and its legends. Our route through the Zhinvali reservoir, the medieval fortress of Ananuri, an unusual mineral spring and the Arch of Friendship. And the final goal, of course, is the monastery at the foot of the great Kazbeg.
(In winter, road closures due to heavy snow may delay access to Kazbegi. If this happens, the extra time will be spent on the Georgian chronicle instead.)

Ananuri fortress: a story in stone On the coast of Aragvi you will be met by the only fortress of Georgia that has reached us in its original form. Walking through the territory of the Ananuri defense complex, you will feel like a resident of the Middle Ages and learn about the glorious past of the Aragva eristavi (heads of the people). And we will definitely pay attention to the Assumption Church of the 17th century, whose facade is decorated with interesting bas-reliefs, and each element of the decor carries a hidden meaning.

5.00It was a great day trip in Caucasus. We had a perfect Driver, David, and a super Guide, Kate. We wouldn't try this without them, I guess. We went to the famous places, encountered incredible wievs of the mountain, had great flocal food at a nice Restaurant.

5.00We had a fantastic day trip in the Caucasus. Our guide, Kate, was excellent, attentive, knowledgeable about the history of the route, and full of interesting facts. Everything was thoughtfully planned with great stops along the way. The experiences along the route, like the wine tasting and honey tasting, were lovely touches. They felt focused on giving us a genuine experience rather than pushing us to buy anything, which we really appreciated. The highlight of the tour was the visit to Gergeti Trinity Church. It’s an absolute must-see, and doing it as part of this tour made it even better. Our driver was equally impressive. The roads can be challenging, but he drove carefully and made us feel safe throughout the journey. The only small note would be to lower the headlights at night, as we received several light signals from other drivers. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended.

5.00Great tour, with Amazing locations (Kazbegi above all) and great plus of honey and, of course, wine tasting. The day was made great by the excellent and lovely guide Kate. The van was comfortable and well driven. Suggestions for improvement: reduce the lunch break to give a few more minutes to Gaudari and get back a little earlier. Highly recommended

5.00Really enjoyed the tour with this guide! You can see that a person really loves his business and knows the subject very well. The story was interesting, lively and without boring learned phrases – it felt like the guide was sharing not only facts but also his experiences and emotions. I would like to mention separately the ability to involve in the process: questions were asked, there were small interactives, thanks to which time flew by without notice. The itinerary was thought out to the nitty-gritty, everything went comfortably and without haste. The guide was also very attentive to the group, answering all questions and creating a friendly atmosphere. After the tour, there are many vivid experiences and a desire to learn more. Definitely recommended!
