This trip in one day will give you breathtaking mountain landscapes, introduce you to the ancient history of Georgia and its legends. Our route through the Zhinvali reservoir, the medieval fortress of Ananuri, an unusual mineral spring and the Arch of Friendship. And the final goal, of course, is the monastery at the foot of the great Kazbeg.
(In winter, road closures due to heavy snow may delay access to Kazbegi. If this happens, the extra time will be spent on the Georgian chronicle instead.)

Ananuri fortress: a story in stone On the coast of Aragvi you will be met by the only fortress of Georgia that has reached us in its original form. Walking through the territory of the Ananuri defense complex, you will feel like a resident of the Middle Ages and learn about the glorious past of the Aragva eristavi (heads of the people). And we will definitely pay attention to the Assumption Church of the 17th century, whose facade is decorated with interesting bas-reliefs, and each element of the decor carries a hidden meaning.

5.00George was an excellent guide, tourbus was comfy and high quality with usb/type c charging ports, driver made us feel safe especially in some scary parts of the road. Tour spots were all fascinating. We were told we might be stuck in traffic because of trucks, so dont forget to bring snacks and be prepared for mountain cold. It was a fun and magnificent tour, thank you.

5.00We had an incredible day exploring Kazbegi and the surrounding areas. The whole journey was perfectly organized, and the views along the way were absolutely breathtaking. Ananuri Fortress felt like stepping into history. The drive through Gudauri offered some of the most dramatic mountain landscapes I’ve ever seen. And of course, reaching Gergeti Trinity Church with the view of Mount Kazbek was truly unforgettable. Because of the truck traffic, we ended up waiting in traffic for a while. Definitely bring some snacks with you, and don’t plan anything urgent for the evening. Our guide was friendly, informative, and kept the energy high throughout the trip. Everything ran on time, and we felt very comfortable and safe the entire day. Highly recommend this tour if you’re visiting Tbilisi – it’s the perfect mix of nature, history, and adventure!

5.00The tour was excellently organised, left on time as stated, and took the group to parts of Georgia that you would otherwise perhaps not see. Great driving from Myrian, and Georgi was an excellent guide. The views along the way were stunning, so is well worth the day out
