This trip in one day will give you breathtaking mountain landscapes, introduce you to the ancient history of Georgia and its legends. Our route through the Zhinvali reservoir, the medieval fortress of Ananuri, an unusual mineral spring and the Arch of Friendship. And the final goal, of course, is the monastery at the foot of the great Kazbeg.
(In winter, road closures due to heavy snow may delay access to Kazbegi. If this happens, the extra time will be spent on the Georgian chronicle instead.)

Ananuri fortress: a story in stone On the coast of Aragvi you will be met by the only fortress of Georgia that has reached us in its original form. Walking through the territory of the Ananuri defense complex, you will feel like a resident of the Middle Ages and learn about the glorious past of the Aragva eristavi (heads of the people). And we will definitely pay attention to the Assumption Church of the 17th century, whose facade is decorated with interesting bas-reliefs, and each element of the decor carries a hidden meaning.

5.00Our tour guide, Nina, gave us a wonderful introduction to the beautiful nation of Georgia. She was funny, warm, extremely informative, and always available with helpful advice. The trip to Kazbeghi was long but very comfortable in the large Mercedes bus. We highly recommend this tour company, and this tour in particular. Thank you.

5.00Everything was perfectly planned! Guide Katie is kind, very educated and very professional. Everyone was kind and amused. Much has been learned about Georgian culture, history, wines, gastronomy and traditions. She did a bilingual tour in English-Russian. Everyone was super interested and cool! Take your time, give me plenty of time off. We really enjoyed it all!
