This was a wonderful day with Ian. He picked us up from the cruise port and we visited Yehliu Geo Park, Jiufen and Shifen. He explained about the area, the food and the land. He took a ton of pictures, got us samples of the different local foods and took tons of photos for us along the way. Highly recommend a day with Ian. Thanks for the. Eat Taiwan experience. Beautiful island with great villages, people and food.

We had a great day! Our guide, Martin Lee was fantastic! Spoke great English & had great conversations in the car. Martin got into contact with me in advance to confirm our times & pick up location. He. Took lots of pictures of us during the day & then shared them with us at the end of the day. We went to Yehliu Geopark, he walked us in & took pictures, told us we’re the best place to take pictures was & then gave us time to look around on our own. We then went to see the beautiful Stefin falls, we then went & let lanterns go in the town of Shefin . We had a delicious lunch there of fried rice stuffed chicken legs, they were so good! The lantern experience was our favorite thing of the day. He then gave us a few options of things to do, we chose to go to an old gold mining town. He walked us through the streets, we did some shopping, had some good treats & ended our day with a tea ceremony at a famous tea house. What a great day !!

Our guide was efficient, punctual, knowledgable and very personable. We indeed were able to come away after a long day with a great feel for the beautiful region around Taipei. While our guide occasionally veered into discussions that weren’t necessarily relevant to our interest in learning about the cultural and natural attributes of the region (and guides take note: silence is OK!), I would recommend both the guide and the tour.

Really enjoyable tour of 4 very different aspects of Taiwan from geological anomalies, street markets, waterfalls to lanterns. Throughout our driver/guide, Jimmy, was attentive, watchful as well as masterfully planning our limited time and ensuring nothing was missed. Thank you!
