The total duration of the tour (around 5 hours) includes the transfer time from Riga and Jūrmala, which is approx. 45 minutes one way from Riga and 15 minutes from Jurmala.

Walking in bog shoes is not difficult but you need to be reasonably fit to do it.
This tour is suitable for individuals reasonably fit, ranging in age from 10 to 65. There is no maximum age limit, provided that you are able to handle a roughly 5-kilometer walk in a swampy area with added difficulty.
You'll need rubber boots or other fully waterproof boots to wear with our bog shoes. We offer a limited number of rubber boots for rent (included in the tour price). If you require a pair, please specify your EU or US shoe size in your booking details so that we can check availability.

5.00We had booked a private tour in the Kemeri bog national park. Pickup from our accomodation in Riga went perfectly. Our guide Rolands was not only very knowledgable about every aspect of the ecosystem in the national park but could also answer all of our questions regarding Latvia's nature. Besides that he also was witty and had some nice jokes so time was passing by very fast. The walk in the wetlands itself was absolutely unique. No people, absolutely quiet and peaceful, and exploring the fascinating ecosystem was giving us lots of insight on why areas like that are vital to nature. We can only absolutely recommend taking that walk!

5.00It was a wonderful day, cool, sunshine and blue sky- natural silence in the Kemeri curve. We already knew Roland's guide from previous activities. It is always inspiring, exciting and relaxed to be on the road with Roland. On the basis of his professional experience as a biologist in various monitoring in Latvia, Roland draws from a rich fund about nature and shares it playfully. My wife and I enjoyed and appreciated these 4 hours in the high moor very much, especially the silence and the experience of hiking on snowshoes over the wobbly moor. Thank you Roland for this experience – the trip was beautiful. Greetings Mohani + Michael from Munich

5.00I don’t even know how to start the review. Everything was perfect. The guide (Rolands) contacted me few days before the adventure asking for my shoe size just to ensure I have comfortable rubber boot that fits and reminded me of all the things I should bring for the day. I was the only participant since it’s off season but the entire experince wasnt ackward at all. I had so much fun. My first ever experience bog-shoeing in the wild thru off beaten path and I’m really glad that I did this. It is a unique experience and the place / view is so stunning! Rolands picked up some wild berries for me to try. And I love them! I would definately recommend this activity to everyone who loves nature. 5 ⭐️ from me! 😁
