K'GARI 2-DAY TOUR - From 1st June 2021, this new tour represents the BEST VALUE experience on Fraser Island in 2021! Focused on increased guest comfort, tours include small group experiences (maximum 30 guests) and upgraded accommodation to Standard Hotel Rooms at K'gari Beach Resort. PLUS uncover hidden gems such as Hammertone Sandblow, Lake Wabby and the Champagne Pools.

Audio guides and scripts are available in English, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Chinese via the K'gari Explorer Tours App.
Your accommodation will require a credit card pre-authorisation of AU$100 per day plus AU$200 refundable bond to a maximum of AU$500. In the event that no credit card is available, full payment and a bond deposit of AU$100 per day to a maximum of AU$500 is required.
Recommended for guests to bring their own front-facing infant seats. Limited child seats are available at an additional charge on request.
Please note we do not carry children under the age of 1 and no refund will be given.
Please note that Queensland law requires all guests travelling on our coaches to wear seat belts at all times, failure to do so could result in a Queensland Government fine.
This tour has separate departure locations depending on whether you are staying in Hervey Bay or Rainbow Beach. Please make sure you book the correct departure location. If you are staying in Hervey Bay, select pick up from Buccaneer Drive. If you are staying in Rainbow Beach, select pick up from Rainbow Beach Road.
The commencement of hotel pickups is approximately 2 hours prior to the departure time of the tour, you must make telephone contact with the local service provider to book the pickup and verify the exactness of your pickup time, this must be done at least 48hrs prior to the departure.

Check-out the interp displays and discover a former logging station that was once the hub of a bustling timber industry. Walk the boardwalk paths alongside Wangoolba Creek.
Lake McKenzie
Enjoy a revitalising swim in the fresh, crystal blue water and relax on the sandy white beaches of this picture perfect perched dune lake.

Seventy-Five Mile Beach
Tour the sandy highway – the ‘spine of Fraser Island’, running from Hook Point to Great Sandy Cape. During this journey, take an extra opportunity to join the Air Fraser team for a scenic flight over the island.
Eli Creek
Relax on the sandy banks, wade through the invigorating shallow waters or drift downstream – the fastest flowing creek on the island is sure to revitalise your mind, body and soul.
Maheno Ship Wreck
Learn the intriguing history of this once proud passenger liner that was washed ashore in 1935 during an out-of-season cyclone. While you’re at it, take the chance to stretch your legs and take a holiday snap with this rusting wreck.
K'gari (Fraser Island)
The Pinnacles Coloured Sands - one of Fraser’s more magical locations, you will hear the Dreamtime story of how these rainbow coloured cliffs came to be.
Indian Head
Cruise past the most easterly point of the island, which is home to marine life such as turtles and rays, often spotted in the waters around the base of this rocky headland

5.00We were lucky that we had a small group on our tour as the weather was atrocious!! Blair our guide was brilliant and we still managed to get to see all the sights even though we were driving along roads awash with water. Kingfisher Bay resort was lovely and all in all it was an unforgettable experience.
Amazing experience with outstanding tour guide.

5.00Brilliant 2 days out. Definitely visit this pristine heritage listed island! Beautiful subtropical rainforest, drive 30 km along the famous beach, swim in crystal clear lakes and, yes you will see wild dingos,and be a little bit afraid and cautious of them too. The bus looks like a regular bus, but powerful 4wd to get along the sandy tracks with towering trees and lush ferns and onto the wide beach with the crashing surf of the Pacific. Dave, our driver and guide is straight out of central casting! Aussie, friendly, capable, funny and always concerned with safety and service and excellent coordination and timing for 2 action packed days. Homemade muffins and Anzac biscuits for morning tea, and excellent buffet lunch at the resort the first day. Dinner is not included but not expensive. Excellent pub style food with very generous portions for tired trekkers. I can recommend the Barramundi fish and chips and salad. The motel is essentially unchanged since 1975, which for Xers was a throwback to family summer holidays, but exactly right for this sort of trip, and for the Millenials, it is clean simplicity that they favour too. Clean, with comfortable beds to collapse into. The second day was another pristine walk. 2.5km in on sandtracks through light forest and then a refreshing swim in a hidden lake, but with a dastardly sand hill to climb out. To and from the island is by ferry/car barge which added to the adventure. We were all dropped off to our hotels by the very kind and personable Warren who went the extra mile for lost backpackers and some very tired and bewildered overseas visitors. Definitely do the 2 day overnight trip. It really is a visit to remember.

5.00Just WOW!! I cannot thank Taylor enough for the tour she provided… From her top class driving skills to her knowledge of the island. The experience was incredible… The opening nighttime Laser event at the Kingfisher resort was a treat. Lake Makenzie is enchanting and the general scenery throughout the island is incredible… topped off with a short flight around the island in a 6 seater plane.

5.00We don’t usually join group tours but visiting K’Gari independently is challenging. We are super happy we did this 2 day tour with Taylah, who was simply amazing. It was a full tour of about 36 and she managed the trip with humor, lots of knowledge and great communication. Strong reco!
