Khasab
The provincial capital of Musandam is small but far from sleepy. Its souq resounds to a babble of different languages, including Kumzari (a compound language of Arabic, Farsi, English, Hindi and Portuguese), and its harbour briefly bursts with activity each time a cruise ship arrives. Fishing boats and dhows amble in and out of the creeks, picking up lobster pots or casting nets in the surrounding bays. Since the lifting of the trade embargo with Iran, the mad dash in fibreglass boats across the 55km strait has pretty much brought the semi-illicit trade in goats and cigarettes to an end, but piracy may yet stage a comeback if international sanctions are reapplied. The town has a great location wedged between steep cliffs and the sea, a feature you can't fail to appreciate when arriving by air or entering the harbour by boat.

5.00A really great trip. We specifically looked for a place to swim where there was no green algae. The staff were really friendly. We even saw both types of dolphins with their young. Highly recommended.

5.00The cruise among the Arabian fjords is a wonderful experience, all the staff of Oman Day Trips were really attentive, we were offered dates, fruit, coffee, tea and above all I wanted to add a bathroom at the end of the day that was as clean as it was at the beginning of the day. During the visit they showed us the beautiful dolphins up close and made us snorkel at Telegraph Island, beautiful places and beautiful views
Relaxation and nature, dolphins can be seen and there are also great dives. Boat equipped to the best, kindness at the top

5.00it was a beautiful, relaxing and fun day because the guides did their best to make us see the dolphins and to make us feel comfortable on the boat. They offered us drinks and also lots of fruit to eat. And the dolphins? well, we certainly saw them!!! we also had a nice dive. The boat is equipped with everything such as a toilet and masks for going underwater. We are very happy with the experience we had.

A beautiful and relaxing trip by Dhau

4.00We were picked up from the ship and taken by car about 5 minutes to a smaller port, which we could already see from the ship. From there we went to the Dhau and down to the open sea. After only about 5 minutes we could see the first dolphins. Again and again during the Dhau tour we encountered dolphins swimming next to our boat. The scenery was very beautiful, although we have to say that the Norwegian fjords are more impressive. But by Omani standards they were very nice. A stop for bathing and snorkeling completed this very nice and well organized excursion.
