The best experience I had in Tokyo! The host was very gracious and held the tea ceremony to the utmost perfection. It was really cool to wear the kimono, learn about the customs of the tea ceremony, make the matcha tea/eat the sweets, and take pictures in the kimono afterwards! Loved every second!

I went with my husband but the tea ceremony is definitely a must-do experience in Japan. The instructor was really nice and they give you a backstory on everything. It comes with a kimono which is cool and they have so many backgrounds available to take pictures.

From start to finish this was an excellent experience. A warm welcome followed by us being separated to get dressed. You are given a bag to put your clothes and rucksack in to store with a smaller bag for wallets, passport and phones which you take with you.. You are then helped to get dressed into your chosen kimono. The ladies take a little longer as they get their hair done. Men can do a little quiz whilst waiting. You are then led through the ceremony which is very informative. You are allowed to sit more comfortable as the normal position is difficult to hold without practice. Not sure if suitable for less agile as there are many narrow stairs. You may need to check if a lift is an option but I didn't look for one. You are allowed to take photos but no filming. You make and try the tea and the information is very easy to understand. Afterwards you can use various props and go up to the roof garden for photos. Overall I can not fault the experience and highly recommend it to anyone. Everyone was extremely friendly. Nearby there are a couple of shops to buy secondhand kimonos.

Tea ceremony was beautiful experience and enjoyed all the little details and sophisticated touch of preparing and serving tea. The staff was super helpful and kind to help with taking photos and making the most out of an experience. I loved it!
