1.00The pickup time was 7:00am, but the driver came at 7:40am. The driver insisted the information from TripAdvisor was wrong. He was not polite.

5.00We had the most wonderful day out with Chris (Hamimi@Chris) at the National Park and Hot Springs! We selected the private tour to give us a more bespoke trip, and Chris accommodated everything - from finding waterfalls and taking us to see the rare rafflesia flowers, to recommending a good stop for coffee. Would definitely recommend TYH Tours and Chris, he's great. Thank you!

5.00trip to Kinabalu Park and Poring Hot Springs was a wonderful experience. The tour was led by our guide, Chris, who was very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. He shared a lot of interesting information about the local nature and wildlife, which made the whole journey much more engaging. Chris told us many fascinating facts about the plants, forest ecosystem, and the unique biodiversity of the area. Thanks to him, we were able to understand much more about the natural environment of Kinabalu Park. One of the highlights of the trip was seeing the rare Rafflesia flower. It was truly a special moment, and we were very happy that Chris helped us find and learn about this remarkable plant. Because of our guide’s stories and explanations, the excursion became very interesting and enjoyable. It was not just a sightseeing trip, but also a great opportunity to learn about the beauty of nature in this region. We highly recommend this tour and especially Chris as a guide.

5.00Amazing experience especially with our guides and driver, Chris and Lovely. They were both very hospitable and friendly. Chris was particularly helpful in ensuring i get to experience white water rafting in Kiulu river and visiting Tamparuli bridge although the request was very last minute and through much difficulty. He's very knowledgeable about the local culture and the whereabouts to visit in Sabah. Would definitely recommend Chris as a guide in future Sabah trips!

5.00Great experience went with a small group and enjoyed the trip to the Kinabalu park and poring springs. The tour guide Ms Lovely Jhane and Ms Lovely Jane were great in guiding us and giving us the background of each spot. Our driver Chris was safe and efficient and bring us back within time. The tour company was good and responsive will Use them again.

5.00I had such a lovely day at Kinabalu National Park and Poring Hot Springs thanks to our guide Badarul and our expert driver Chris, who drove us fast and safe through bumpy roads. Unfortunately I forgot the name of the lady, that completed the crew but they were fantastic! Informative, good to talk to and so much fun. Good listeners, too and they even tried to make any extra wishes possible (seeing Rafflesia, finding toilet when we needed to, even ATM, as one from our group needed it). I highly recommend going on a tour with them!

1.00Warning about TYH Borneo Tours & Travel – this was one of the worst tour experiences of our entire trip. We booked the full-day tour: Jambatan Tamparuli + Nabalu Town + Poring Hotspring (Kipungit Waterfall) + Kinabalu Park (Silau Silau Trails). In reality, we saw… almost nothing. 1. Completely pointless start of the tour. The first “attraction” was an old, broken bridge, the second one a depressing market full of cheap Chinese junk. A total waste of time and money. This should have been the first red flag. 2. No one informed us that the Canopy Walk was closed. This was the MAIN reason we booked the tour. The operator knew or could have easily checked this, but did not. Instead, we were taken to a sad, unimpressive waterfall that is not an attraction by any standard. 3. Poring Hotsprings was a disappointment. Without the Canopy Walk, the whole place loses its purpose. What remains is a small hot stream, a tiny waterfall and a basic concrete pool. No atmosphere, no real attraction. 4. Kinabalu Park – we saw NOTHING. After a 1.5-hour drive, we were dropped at a parking lot and told we could not enter the park due to slippery trails and weather conditions. The sun was already setting — clearly the guide arrived too late. This should have been planned and communicated in advance. 5. 6 hours in the car with almost zero sightseeing. Not even a bottle of water. We felt completely misled. We were driven around for nothing, with no information and no professionalism. 6. Price did not match the website. We paid 340 RM per person, while the website states 280 RM for two participants. Even if they added a transport fee, there is still a 20 RM difference. It is not about the amount — it is about honesty. 7. The operator’s reaction – no respect at all. We filed a complaint and described everything truthfully. The response was dismissive, unprofessional and showed zero responsibility. Summary: This was a wasted day, 6 hours stuck in a car, and almost no interaction with the nature we came to see. Instead of relaxing at our hotel, we spent the entire day being driven to places that were either closed, irrelevant or not worth visiting. We do not recommend this company to anyone. The itinerary looks nice on paper, but in reality you get closed attractions, chaos, no communication and no respect for customers. If you value your time and money — avoid this company.
