Kingston Waterfront
Your cruise begins at the confluence of three major waterways: the Rideau Canal, the St. Lawrence River and Lake Ontario. Kingston, the vibrant city we call home, has held strong political, military and cultural significance throughout Canadian history. The Island Belle winds her way along the shorelines of Point Frederick, Navy Bay, Deadman's Bay and Cedar Island for an up-close and unique perspective on our past and present. From here, sail on toward the open water with views of Wolfe Island’s powerful wind turbines and the remote Garden Island in the distance. Take in views of some of Kingston’s most prominent landmarks including the Kingston Penitentiary, the Tett Centre, Gord Downie Pier and Kingston General Hospital as we make our way back into harbour.

Make sure there no kids under 5 years old. Scenery was beautiful. Kids ruined the cruise for all the people. Couldn’t hear or enjoy it. Never again. Waste of time and money and much aggravation.

It was a great opportunity to see something of the islands and hear the history of them.

The tour itself was beautiful but the commentary was to much. I didnt enjoy that at all. Loved when the captain talked tho. Greatly organized and very easy. Over all it was worth going.

There was very limited seating. I was travelling with a pregnant adult and we were over halfway through our journey before someone could be bothered to offer her a seat. I am not sure if it was more windy than usual, but we were unable to hear the narration telling you what the sites were and their significance. I was disappointed with my experience, but it was very cheap I guess you get what you pay for. If you are travelling with a toddler, I would not suggest this cruise. 90 minutes proved to be a bit too long, and the toddler was bored with looking at all the islands. Again, perhaps the toddler may have found it somewhat more enjoyable if the narration was audible, but I am not totally convinced. An additional factor that was irksome was that there was triathlon occurring during our boat cruise. We should have arrived with 30 minutes to spare but just caught the boat due to the fact that we were not forewarned of the event, and as tourists unfamiliar with Kingston, we struggled to find parking. The parking areas near the cruise were all blocked off for the triathlon combined with many one way roads made it very challenging to even take the cruise.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. I especially liked the historical commentary along the way. It was humorous and educational. We would recommend this tour - remember to wear your sunscreen though!!
