5.00This self-guided tour offers a clever way to explore the area. We planned to visit several of these spots anyway, so it provided an excellent route to them all. We expected the scenery to impress, but we had no idea Albany was so historically significant. The rich background emerged gradually as we moved from one site to the next, plus excellent directions and location information. It avoids a dry lecture style. Instead, it delivers an engaging, lighthearted story of the town's founding, while properly recognising the Indigenous people who have lived here for tens of thousands of years. The tour runs fully on GPS, with strong narration, stunning views, a rugged coastline, and nearly all the major attractions along the path. We had a clear sunny day, complete with swimming and a stop at a cafe. That said, those doing it in winter probably see something special; the big swells crashing in must make the coast even more impressive. The whole family enjoyed it. I recommend it without hesitation.
