Depart from the city hotel in the morning. The journey will take about 1½ hours drive to Tamparuli area. As you arrive at the ending point, stopover for light refreshment and participants can change clothes.
After that, continue up to the starting point at Pukak or Sukang.

0830hrs depart from the city hotel. The journey will take about 1½ hours drive to Tamparuli area.
Kiulu River
As you arrive at the ending point, stopover for light refreshment and participants can change clothes. After that, continue up to the starting point at Pukak or Sukang. The river guide will allocate all rafting equipment e.g. helmets, PFD, paddles, raft, while participants can apply sun block lotion and take pictures or walk on a suspension bridge. Safety briefing is given by the river guide before you get into the river. After the briefing, start raft down for about 2 hours to the ending point (Kiulu Town) covering approximately 7 to 8 km. After changing clothes and a sumptuous lunch is served by the riverside. In the afternoon, return to Kota Kinabalu and arriving at around 1530hrs at the city hotel.

5.00A fantastic trip with a great crew. Lilo was our guide and had a great sense of fun and lots of knowledge to share to. This is a really easygoing trip so ideal for anyone considering it for families with small children. The river is grade 1-2 depending on whether it’s wet or dry season so it’s an easy paddle. We also had a lot of swimming time in the river too and watched Sabah drift by. A great way to spend the morning with a lovely lunch at the end! Thanks team Riverbug 🙌

3.00I took my daughter and her friend to do the white water rafting from Kota Kinabalu. White water rafting is quite a stretch to be honest. It's a very leisurely boat ride down a very calm river! The scenery was beautiful and if you weren't expecting white water would be a lovely little river trip. However, I do think it was quite expensive for what we actually got and the river was quite dissapointing in the thrills expectation. Of you have very very young kids (under 7) it would he a nice introduction perhaps to rafting but skip it if you have teens!

5.00Very pleasant experience. Very knowledgeable guide who catered the ride to the specific people in each boat. We were 3 boats rafting the same river, and our guide asked how we would like to take each section of the river (aggressive or peaceful) Our boat was able to take a more exciting route while boats with young kids took a calmer ride. About a 1 hour ride from Kk. Food and company were both really good

5.00Fun guides who tried to enhance the experience there’s parts to swim parts to jump into the water and my favourite bit was going down the rapids out of the boat. The lunch provided was tasty the only bad thing was the changing rooms were very basic and dirty, no shower just an empty room with dirty chair

3.00Unfortunately there was not allot of water in the river ,so no actual rapids ,not the providers fault however should have been told of conditions, we also had to wait for over an hour for another group to join the party. Staff were friendly and supportive,meal provided was average

5.00We had a great time on this trip. I'm a little afraid of deep water so was quite glad the water level wasn't too deep but plenty enough. The rapids were a grade 2 which was enough. We had plenty of opportunities to get out for a swim too which was nice to cool off. Really lovely lunch at the end and overall would highly recommend this trip... lots of fun and the guides were great fun too.
