Our award-winning snorkel tour takes you to this protected marine sanctuary, home to the Captain Cook Monument and some of Hawai‘i’s most pristine waters. Along the way, our crew shares the rich cultural and historical significance of the coastline.

5.00Our family had an amazing time! Crystal clear waters, dozens of different reef fishes, friendly and happy crew. We even saw spinner dolphins! No whales or sharks. My husband and I did SNUBU, first time, would definitely do again because it gave us a much better view of the wildlife.

5.00Can't recommend Fairwinds enough! This is the 4th snorkel cruise we've taken with them in a decade. We always come back. Staff is courteous, friendly and all around good people. Boat is in great condition, bathrooms are nice. Not only did we go to Capt Cook for amazing snorkeling, they were in contact with the Hula Kai who let them know where some "dorsal fins" were spotted. We found a pod of spinner dolphins and had fun "racing" some bottle nose Dolphins. Food was great too (I was skeptical about totally vegan food, but it was amazing). Thanks for the unforgettable adventure. We will be back again.

5.00Incredible day on the water. Breakfast and lunch were light and delightful. The crew was helpful and amazing. The snorkeling was awesome. A pod of dolphins swam by and we also saw an octopus. It was perfect weather, perfect day. The reefs were breathtaking with such a wide variety of tropical fish, sea anemones, and urchins. We enjoyed the ride back where we saw a bunch of flying fish and some bottlenose dolphins rode our wake for a while. It was very unforgettable! Highly recommend.

5.00This our second time doing the snorkeling experience- we have had a fantastic time every time! The crew is friendly and knowledgeable and the food delicious— and the snorkeling always a pleasure:) kids enjoyed the slides and high jump- thanks again!

5.00This was one of the highlights of our Big Island vacation. The staff was super friendly, and very patient with people who were inexperienced at snorkeling. They offer options for people of all experience levels, from view boxes for those who are hesitant to even stick their face in the water, to float equipment for fun or comfort, all the way up to Snuba for those feeling more adventurous. The location at Kealakekua Bay is fantastic, and the trip to the bay is rewarding in itself. On our trip we saw whales and spinner dolphins as well. The food options were tasty, and we really appreciated their attention to sustainability and the protection of the area. We highly recommend this excursion.
