With this GPS-enabled tour, you’ll be able to discover the stories behind how these ruins were created—simply by walking. The area was first settled in early Neolithic times. Around 4000 BC! Think stone tools and early farming. Kourion passed under the rule of the great emperors of times past, including Alexander the Great, the Assyrians, and the Romans, until it was finally destroyed by an earthquake in 365 AD.

This house once belonged to Eustolios, a wealthy nobleman living in the 4th century. He built it to have panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea and lined the floor with beautiful mosaic tiles, many of which are still intact today. At 720 feet in diameter, this huge amphitheater is pretty hard to miss! People used to flock here to see performances and take in the views of the sea and surrounding landscape. 5.00We enjoyed the audio tour as a family. The very detailed information about the sights and the historical classification helped us a lot to better understand the excavation site. I can recommend the audio tour and the price is fair and justified.

5.00A very large site with lots to see. Some of it was closed today as the roof protecting it was being repaired. However we still saw lots including the amphitheatre which faces out to sea.
