Firefly Park Resort Bukit Belimbing in Kuala Selangor, Malaysia. Is the only place in this region where you can witness the sight of SOME of fireflies flashing in synchrony, often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World”. It is one of the must visit place of interest (POI) in Malaysia.
You will be taken on a boat ride along the Selangor River where the fireflies inhibit around the branches of the “Berembang” trees along the riverbank. Here, up to thousands of fireflies may group together on a tree, beginning their display about one hour after sunset. A really bright display lasts for about two to three hours, continuing at lower levels until dawn.

Bukit Melawati
Upon arrival you'll be visiting to Bukit Melawati where Fort Altingsburg is located. The hilltop is capped by a lighthouse surrounded by tall beautiful shady trees which are a haven for local birds, silvered leaf monkeys and long tail macaques.You’ll head to a nearby fishing village for a typical seafood dinner before making your way to Kampung Kuantan.

Upon arrival you'll be visiting to Bukit Melawati where Fort Altingsburg is located. The hilltop is capped by a lighthouse surrounded by tall beautiful shady trees which are a haven for local birds, silvered leaf monkeys and long tail macaques.You’ll head to a nearby fishing village for a typical seafood dinner before making your way to Kampung Kuantan. Around 6:30pm you'll visit to Malay Village which is Kampung Kuanatan, where they will board a boat. Life jackets are provided and the boatman would row the boat along the river. As mentioned earlier, here millions of fireflies present us with a dazzling display of lights flickering in synchronous that resemble twinkling electric lights on a Christmas tree. Definitely you'll will be bedazzled and the sight will take your breath away!

3.00The tour was suggested by the tour company. It was like 1-1/12 hour drive and while the fireflies were unique, not worth the drive. The tour operator/boat driver gave us zero information about fire flies, which we could hear happening on other operators boats. We paid extra for a blue water experience and again nothing was said about how or why the water turned a light blue. Disappointing.

5.00This tour was a great way to see several different things and enjoy a nice dinner in one evening. Feeding the monkeys was a highlight. Sathia made the tour extra enjoyable and was able to handle the Kuala Lumpor traffic to make sure I was still able to see everything on the tour.

5.00Amazing private tour with eagle feeding, firefly watching and blue tears watching! Was very happy to have a friendly and interesting guide Ayyanar, as the way from KL is quite long. He answered all of the questions and was happy to tell me more about Malaysia. Really exciting tour through the nature!

4.00This was a great experience. Thanks to our guide Sathia who made the experience so memorable. We went to a Temple, Monkey Feeding, Firefly Tour and Blue tear tour and a dinner. The Firefly was a little bit disappointing as there we very few and also it was not dark enough. The Blue tear was good but it would have been better if it was more darker. The dinner was okish - the seafood was very fresh but the fried rice was just ok. Thanks Sathia for being a wonderful guide, really friendly and really jovial.

4.00We wanted to see the fireflies. We've seen them but we expected a little more of them. Nevertheless, thanks to Prabaz our private guide was very nice. Stopped at the Indian Temple next to the mosque, and the church. Very special to see these 3 religions side by side. He also took us to the monkeys where we could feed them. That was a laugh. And also the seafood dinner (special Chinese ) was really super tasty. There were mostly locals. He also made a detour especially to be able to photograph us the Petronas Towers at night. Really super of him, he is a friendly nice good English speaking guide at TravelVago. He does and wants to do everything he can to please you.

4.00Such a lovely day trip out of Kuala Lumpur. It was wonderful to see another side to Malaysia and to experience a little bit of history, nature and culture. Our guide Yuvanesh was fantastic and happy to accommodate our personal interests! The fireflies were a real highlight and such a unique experience - one that allows you to be truly present.
