The tour is beautiful, but they do it very quickly and it is very commercial.

We had an amazing time with our girls. Maria, our Mayan tour guide, was so accommodating and knowledgeable. My husband has a physical limitation walking and she was so kind to make sure he was okay and to get us tuktuks at the different stops. Our favorite part was the boat ride from town to town…lol please have motion sickness meds on hand if you’re not used to a high speed, choppy ride.

An amazing tour on the lake, visiting two villages, learning about history and traditions, exploring local sceneries and appreciating specialties like honey, textiles, and more. Joel was a brilliant guide.

This was a fabulous tour! Joel was a great guide, offering interesting information, sharing his own history, and being really patient with everyone. We brought along our 5 and 7 year old daughters, and though I was a little nervous about if they’d be able to handle all of the walking and listening to historical information, they had a blast: they loved getting to try different kinds of honey, learning how to spin cotton into thread, and try on traditional clothing specific to the Mayan people of Santiago. The boat rides were fun and not too bumpy. We were a bit surprised by having to pay extra for the jeep in our last town — it was 30Q per person—but other than that, no complaints!!

It was a beautiful experience. The honey and the textile. The boat ride and culture learning. The food was not only delicious, but it was only $30 For 2 plates and drinks.

The lake was beautiful but the boat ride was scary. We visited San Pedro, San Juan y Santiago. Keep in mind of the bumpy boat ride.

100% recommend. Excursion ran from 9am to 4pm dock to dock. So many activities, food and a little bit of free time. Best way to spend a day on Lake Atitlan.
