I went in April 2025 where lake Louise was all frozen and we went to marble canyon instead of lake moraine. Overall, though we didn’t get to view the turquoise coloured water in lake Louise. However, we did get to view the coloured water run through deep in the crevices of the marble canyon along with the white beauty of snow around. Our guide was very knowledgeable . We also visited yoho park where the kicking horse river was a delightful sight. We stopped for lunch at one of the shops. Overall, it’s a pleasant trip just to get a feel of Banff. Not recommended if you’re the activity/ adventure person. However, If you wish to relax by soaking into nature and enjoy the calm ambience, view the crystal clear water , get a hike along the canyon trails, this is for you.

Peter, our driver and guide is very nice and knowledgeable of the destinations’ history. I would recommend doing this especially if you’re travelling alone. Enjoyed the tour. I would be doing this again in the summer.
April lakes are still frozen but beautiful!
