Enjoy a 2-hour stargazing experience with an experienced guide. We keep the tour to a maximum of 10pax adults for best experience.
Learn about the night sky, see constellations, and use a 16" telescope to see planets and stars. Snack on a platter of nibbles and sip on a hot drink while you stargaze.
Get picked up from your accommodation in Lake Tekapo and be driven to a private stargazing site out in the farm with zero light pollution. Sit back in a comfortable moon chair and wrap yourself in a warm blanket.
Use a modern 16” telescope to see the night sky for deep sky objects. Take a photo of you and your friends & family under the stars!
*Please note: we can only cater snack platters provided we are given 48 hours notice before the tour. We can cater non-allergen, vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-free, and dairy-free and gluten-free platters.

5.00Need to have clear skies and cannot see anything if cloud cover. However, agent kept in close contact - gave options for rescheduling and really helpful when we decided to go ahead. Guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable - tried to make outing a success in spite of weather conditions.

5.00The night sky in & around slake Tekapo is amazing . We were lucky enough to book this tour on a clear night . Tamir our guide picked us up from our apartment and took us up a dark hill. We sat in laid back chairs and we were given blankets which were needed as it was a little breezy . The sky was huge and there were literally billions of stars visible to the naked eye. Our guide Tamir gave us lots of facts and we saw a few stars and planets through his telescope . What a fab experience. He was very knowledgeable & had a good sense of humour !

5.00They picked us up at our doorstep and transported us to the farm where there were chairs coats and warm blankets. Gave a very entertaining and informative. Talk on STARZ and planets and also took great photos for us. Would do with this again it was great. They could get a little speaker to hear him better when he’s talking upfront of the van while he’s driving, He was fantastic willing to answer questions and the hot chocolate and appetizers was a nice touch can’t tell you the last time I stayed up until 2 AM

5.00Fantastic experience. We enjoyed incredible stargazing with a professional and knowledgeable guide, Jacob. I saw the southern sky as I’ve never seen it before, including a beautifully clear view of the Southern Cross. We also looked through a telescope and clearly saw the rings of Saturn and other wonders of the night sky. Highly recommended.

5.00Sam and Alex were the best hosts! They did an amazing job making sure everyone was comfortable during the night time. Sam did an absolutely fantastic job explaining what we were looking at in the nights sky. Would definitely go again if we make it back down undah.

5.00The guide was an expert and provided tons of great information and science based knowledge. We were there longer than 2 hours, and despite the cold weather, the time flew by. We were lucky to have clear skies, and the stars and planets were truly amazing. Don’t miss this!
