Drive from Belize City to Orange Walk and then get on a boat that takes you on a picturesque boat ride to Lamanai via the New River. Keep your cameras handy as there will be many opportunities to get pictures of monkeys and other wildlife. This beautiful, serene ride is a great way to start your day before you get to walk through and climb the temples at Lamanai. Ask your experienced guide for names of flora and fauna along the way. Your boat captain will make a couple of stops to mimic the call of the animals in the area and for you to get pictures.
