What an unforgettable experience! We wanted to experience a day in the life of the people in the villages, farming, eating their foods, etc. We traveled up 13,000 feet to where they live in their home and they accepted us with open arms. They greeted us with custom hand knitted attire they wear and not to mention lots of food, music and drinks! We took a bottle of Pisco to not walk in empty handed and they loved it! Once we got there, they had been starting a barbecue pit for us to enjoy some amazing, home grown food later on! While we were waiting for the food to cook, they showed us the tools they use to farm and also gave us some knowledge about farming, which trees are good for the soil, which trees are used for certain purposes, how to sing and dance, how to greet special guests, and so on. Then, we sat down on a table like one big family and enjoyed some amazing foods. the day prior we went to machu pichu and climbed wayna pichu to the top, but this experience was something I will never forget in my entire life. It was a dream of mine to come to Peru and to share this experience with unforgettable people was the cherry on top. You need to get this experience if you are on your way to Cuzco! You will NOT regret it! Not sure why my pictures are not uploading, but pictures won't do it justice! Thank you Nativo for accepting us and thank you Franco for setting everything up for us! You are all part of our family!

The people of the community were very nice, they taught us different traditions and customs. We shared a fantastic day where I learned different things like their agriculture and their weaving. The food was delicious. I recommend it since it is very good to get away from all the noise of the city and enjoy nature

What an adventure!! It all starts with a necklace of flowers handed over by Nativo and then the traditional costume. A Musical Welcoming of Ilario on drums and Santos on flute. A tasting of corn and beans then a weaving demonstration with Francesca. Gavina was in the kitchen and Isabel came to join us. We “crushed” the potatoes to drain them of their water and then harvested some beans. All this ended in joy and good humor with Peruvian dances and also ....Breton "I hear the wolf the fox and the weasel" Thanks of course to our great guide Celinda and driver Roger An unforgettable day

Franco introduced our small group to the community who explained all about their farming and tools. The crop calendar they had made was amazing and showed unusual crops that the community grows. We took part in a ceremony to encourage a good harvest and then tried our hand with the tools. Later we were welcomed to eat with the community and other members joined us. The food was delicious. Later we returned to the village to prepare lots of food including ferns and purple corn. It was lots of fun and then we all sat down together to eat what we had prepared. An authentic community day which was enjoyed by our whole group.
