• Lovely Landscapes, but personally disappointed in the tour experience

  Yes, the landscapes were beautiful but..... NO ROOMS destination despite being in the tour name. That is literally why I chose this tour. Very fast paced tour, and a lovely lunch destination (but a disappointing meal - read the google reviews before ordering). Do not sit in the rear seats as the road is quit bumpy and you will be tossed up and down in ways that may cause injury or pain to your back or seat. Tour guide was nice, and the price is cheap, but if you want to be comfortable and relaxed, perhaps spring for a private tour. Had I not been expecting to go to ROOMS like expected, I would say this was an average tourist tour that got the sight-seeing job done, but come-on... ITS IN THE TOUR NAME. That said, its definitely a beautiful destination, but maybe not the most reliable tour company. They did warn us at the beginning that due to traffic conditions, that cannot guarantee returning to Tbilisi on time (potentially late into the night), so consider that if you have flights or reservations to reach. I gave it one star because I was forced to sit next to horrific creature that smelled of mothballs and those toxic fumes burned my mouth and lungs. However, there were lovely other people on the tour. Mostly from India, but the tour was in English.

  The bus was late leaving by 20 mins whilst we sat on the bus without any information given as to why. That trend continued with no actual tour information given either on the drive or at any of the locations throughout the whole day, we just stopped at random places and were told how long we had until we had to be back on the bus. People then just wandered aimlessly. The "tour" also didnt follow the steps outlined on viator, completely missing one of the advertised stops (Rooms hotel) and at one of the stops we stood in a car park for 20mins as the "guide" had lost the bus and driver. They stopped at the restaurant at 11.20am which was far too early to eat and the food was overpriced (for Georgia) and not very great. The wine tasting is held at the restaurant but again there was lots of standing around as the "guide" gave little to no information about what was happening. He could have easily explained on the bus on route to each location but the bus journeys were silent. No water was supplied on the tour either despite showing as included on viator. Overall the locations were great but I would suggest finding another company that actually gives you a tour, rather than with a guide who gives no information at all. I was hesitant to leave the review after seeing how the owner responded to previous negative reviews on google (threats of violence and calling customers pigs) but felt others needed to know a true reflection of the tour and how badly organised it was.

  You really need to check the weather before booking if you want to see the top of Kazbegi, and it's also worth taking an extra layer of clothes to see the church as it's very windy, but this tour is completely unmissable if you are in Georgia.
