Langtang valley dominated by splendid Langtang Lirung retains its wilderness character though it is third popular trekking destination of Nepal after Annapurna region and Everest region and marvels with diverse culture like Hindu, Tamang, Sherpa and many more along with eye catching glimpses of mountain scenery as well as amazing green pastures used for Yak grazing.
Short trek to Langtang valley begins from Syabrubesi after 8 hours’ audacious bus drive from Kathmandu on bumpy and windy roads of mountain side passing stupas, mani stones and crossing swaying suspension bridges hanging over deep gorges to enjoy the wilderness of Langtang valley with cultural insights visiting monasteries, chhortens and mingling with friendly local people.

You would be offered breakfast, Nepali meal at homestay during time at Kathmandu while on trekking you would be provided Nepalese meals three times a day during trek.
Kathmandu to Syabrubesi passing Chilime hydropower
Trisuli River
Langtang trek begins with nine hours’ drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi heading to the north along the road on the bank of Trisuli river. You can go either by public bus or private vehicle but private vehicles are safe and highly recommended. You can observe the Chilime hydropower plant on Syabrubesi designed on the run-of-the-river model.
Syabrubesi to Lama hotel through Bamboo
We trek from Syabrubesi along the trail that crosses Bhotekoshi and follow LangtangKhola gradually climbing up to Bamboo passing through landslide to reach Lama Hotel at an elevation of 2470 meters from sea level.
Lama Hotel to Langtang valley via GhoreTabela
Langtang National Park
We leave Lama Hotel and head toward Langtang village via GhoreTabela passing green meadows utilized to graze Yak and livestock of local people. We explore graceful monastery on way to Langtang valley.
Langtang valley to Kanjing Gumba
Langtang National Park
We trek from Langtang village to Kanjing Gumba after two and a half hours walk and have lunch and take rest for an hour and climb to Kanjing Re viewpoint elevation at 4700m above the sea level.
Kanjing Gumba to Lama Hotel
Langtang Valley Trek
We return the same way back to Lama Hotel from Kanjing Hotel
Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi
Langtang National Park
Enjoy 4 hours’ trek from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi along gradually descending trail with the spellbinding vision of mountains and green hills.
Syabrubesi to Kathmandu return drive

Return to Kathmandu from Syabrubesi on nine hours’ drive through the gravel and bumpy road.

5.00Perfect first trek in Nepal! We visited two valleys of very distinct but equally beautiful landscapes. Our guide Minbahadur hiked us through this adventure with enthusiasm, ensuring that we made the most of each place. This amazing guide always adjusted to our demands and needs, while creating a trusting and cheerful atmosphere. We already plan on coming back to Nepal!

5.00My boyfriend and I spent 9 fantastic days with Bijan, trekking in the Langtang valley. He is everything someone can wish from a guide - experienced, polite, caring, with a good sense of humor and a big heart! We already miss his smile and laugh! Although the boss of the Agency can sometimes test your nerves in the negotiation process, I have to admit that they charge you correctly and keep their promises. USD25 per day and 13% tax is pretty worth it for the service you get.

5.00I spent 8 days trekking Langtang Valley in December. The trip was organised quickly and efficiently by Ganesh at Everest Holiday and at very short notice. The next day I was on my way! The whole experience was fantastic! My guide, Babu, was extremely attentive and ensured all my needs were met throughout the trip. I highly recommend him as a guide! Thanks for such a memorable trip. I hope to come back soon!
