5.00After booking the Gruyères tour with Halit through TripAdvisor, we decided to book a couple more tours directly with him. Although the tour was in English, we were pleasantly surprised to discover that Halit also speaks Spanish, which helped us understand the stories even better. This is a full day tour and with a little traffic congestion it took us 10 hours. The Lavaux tour was amazing. The restaurant was excellent, and the wine tastings truly surprised us. The wine producers were very welcoming and shared in-depth information about how the soil and sun play an important role in the quality of the wine. The tour covers all the entry fees. They picked us up from our hotel in Geneva and dropped off back. The boat ride made us feel like we were in the 1800s—you can see the old-style wheels and details, which adds to the experience. Highly recommended especially for couples.

5.00We had an amazing time with Halit, our guide. The guide is not the driver, and it makes a big difference. The wine tasting places were excellent. The restaurant is a Michelin Guide restaurant, and the food is delicious. The car was very comfortable, and the driving felt very safe. It turned out to be just the two of us. Lavaux itself is very beautiful, and Halit has tons of interesting and fun stories. This tour has been one of the highlights of our visit to Switzerland. It might seem a bit expensive, but you definitely get what you pay for. This is a 10-hour tour in total. Highly recommended for wine, nature, and history lovers. As a bonus you get to chat with an organic wine producer for 1 hour and he is a lovely person with in-depth information about wines.

5.00Halit was a fantastic tour guide. He spent all day with us, hiking, taking us wine tasting, and explaining several areas of the Lavaux region. He was able to adjust the schedule for us when necessary to make the best experience. The two vineyards he picked out were different from one another and both wonderful. We went on a boat cruise on Lake Geneva as well which wasn’t offered on other similar tours. Our driver Mehmet made us feel very safe for those portions of the trip. Both Halit and Mehmet were very kind, flexible and made us feel comfortable asking anything. I would highly recommend taking this tour with the two of them and would give the day 10 stars if I could.
