Your adventure begins in the heart of Lecce’s old town, where we set off on e-bikes and follow peaceful countryside roads lined with vineyards, traditional masserias, and ancient olive groves.
Our first stop is at the Farmer house (Pantaleo). Here you will try Olive oil and wine while Pantaleo's wife serves us puglian snacks.
Next stop is Nardò, a charming baroque town where you’ll enjoy a relaxing coffee break. Try the famous caffè leccese—espresso over ice with almond syrup—and pasticciotto pastry.
From Nardò, we ride toward the shimmering Ionian Sea and reach the seaside village of Santa Maria al Bagno, whose crystal-clear waters offer the perfect chance for a refreshing swim.
We then continue cycling along the scenic coastline—mostly on dedicated bike paths—until we arrive in Gallipoli, known for its historic old town set on an island and surrounded by turquoise water.
From Gallipoli a private taxi (included) will take you back to your hotel in Lecce in about 35 minutes.

5.00I had a fantastic immersive tour of rural Puglia led by an incredibly knowledgeable local guide, Marco. Everything was planned to perfection and meeting the local farmers and chatting about wine and olive oil was a highlight along with cycling by the coast and taking in wonderful sea views. Highly recommended.

5.00I honestly cannot speak more highly of the experience. It was a perfectly crafted journey that takes you through beautiful countryside, charming villages, and eventually along the stunning coastline. Every stop feels purposeful and thoughtfully chosen, offering a genuine sense of the region's character. Marco's knowledge about the land and history transforms the ride into something far more meaningful. His stories about the people, way of life and traditions adds a richness you won’t find on an ordinary tour. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to truly discover this incredible part of Puglia.

5.00Had an amazing time taking in the sights and learning about the history of Southern Italy while cycling from Lecce to Gallipoli with Marco and Nicolas from Puglia Bike Experience! Along the way, we stopped in Nardò for a fantastic lunch at Caffè Parisi, followed by a dip in the crystal clear waters at the gorgeous beach in Santa Maria al Bagno, before finally arriving at our destination. Marco and Nicolas not only provided water and snacks for our group, but also ensured that no one fell behind during the 33-mile tour. Additionally, I truly appreciated how Marco took the time to explain historical facts about the region, which enhanced the overall experience of the tour. Overall, it was truly a wonderful experience and one of the highlights of my time in Puglia! If you’re looking for experienced guides to take you on an amazing excursion, I highly recommend Puglia Bike Experience!

5.00Thus was an exhilarating experience from start to finish. Guides, Marco and Nicholas instilled confidence explaining how to use the excellent bikes and then provided knowledgeable commentary on the various things we saw, from architecture, foliage, history and more. I especially loved our visit to the olive grove and riding on the narrow streets through the small towns. I can't recommend this adventure enough!

5.00What a wonderful way to spend a day. The bikes and equipment were first rate. Nicholas, our guide was fabulous. He kept us safe and informed throughout the day. The scenery was beautiful. The opportunity to cycle through it allowed us to feel closer to the environment than we ever would have been able to in a vehicle. This bike ride is a wonderful way to spend the day. This company is a safe and professional organization to do it with. I highly recommend this tour.

5.00Wow! What an incredible experience fully immersing ourselves into life in Lecce! This was my husband and I’s first bike tour and it completely hooked us. Marco was very thorough with the explanation of the bikes and safety. He was attentive throughout the entire ride and made sure we captured the beauty through the locals eye. We were shown hidden gems like a wonderful restaurant for lunch and a personal farmer’s olive oil and wine, where you could smell their Sunday roast cooking in their kitchen. Marco made this fantastic bike tour absolutely superb! Thanks Marco!

5.00Marco was terrific and this was the highlight of our trip to Puglia! The bikes were in like new condition and the journey brings you through all sorts of beautiful countryside down to the ocean and along the coast with adequate time for stops to give some historical perspective, rest and recovery and unique stops on the way such as a local Olive Oil farm where you can buy olive oil and pasta. We also had the best lunch in a beautiful quaint town square and never felt rushed. It was definitely a magical day and we will definitely book with Marco again!

5.00Nickolas was so fun, friendly and knowledgeable! I mixd up our days and their team was very accommodating, picking us up the next day in Nardo - much appreciated. The coast was so beautiful and Nick filled in all the local info and history. The e- bikes were top notch. Would definitely recommend this trip!!!

5.00I had a wonderful experience with Marco. If you enjoy biking this tour is a must. Marco selected a beautiful route and has everything planned perfectly. Taking a dip in the sea was refreshing and an excellent touch towards the end of the experience. There is nothing to think about, book book book.

5.00Our tour organizer and tour guide were outstanding with communication, organization and historical knowledge. We enjoyed the countryside with many laughs. The tour of the underground Olive Oil Mill was so informative and our tour guide Nick made it! The e-bikes were high quality and easy to use. We would absolutely do this tour and again or another tour by the company.
