Experience the elegance and history of the Lipizzaner horses wit a day tour to Lipica - sLOVEnia. The Stud Farm was established in 1580 and is one of the oldest stud farms in the world.
This tour includes a guided visit to the Lipica Stud Farm, a walk through the scenic grounds, stales and local museum. You will travel with comfortable, clean, air conditioned up to date people`s carrier/van/car. This is private tour for one party only.
On Sundays: also possible to see captivating performance by the Lipizzaner horses showcasing their agility and training.

Pickup is from Koper cruise terminal but is also available from any location within Koper town limits. Please provide us pickup location at the time of booking.

During peak season we cannot always guarantee to provide fluent English speaking driver or escort. In the event this is not possible, rest assured that you will still receive 100 percent level of service and will not be affected in any way. The stud farm tour is always in English.

We will meet a the cruise terminal or other preferred accommodation and head directly to Lipica. A ride in a comfortable up to date clean and air conditioned van takes about 45 minutes. We accept only up to 8 persons for this private excursion. On the way trough a beautiful Slovenian land your English speaking driver will introduce you our country in terms of history, politics, facts and other interesting things.
Lipica Stud Farm - Kobilarna Lipica
As we arrive to Lipica stud farm your driver/ escort will drop you off at the entrance and give you the tickets (included in price) for the guided tour throughout the farm. There you will enjoy a guided walk beneath the crowns of mighty trees, enter the world of Lipica through the Museum of the Lipizzaner or just relax and enjoy the beauty and energy of this beautiful park. The Lipica Stud Farm is one of the most beautiful cultural and historical monuments in Slovenia, A tradition of breeding on of the most elegant studs in the world is over 430 years old here. After our agreed time (no less than 2 hours but can stay longer if the group agrees) we will meet again and head back to Koper

4.00My husband and I enjoyed our private tour of the Lipica Stud Farm. The horses were stunningly beautiful; and because it was off season, we received a private tour of the facilities and were able to see quite a few of the stallions, including some of the current show horses. The driver was very engaging and the owner of the tour business met us off the ship. He was very nice and we could tell he wanted us to have a good experience. He asked the driver to call once the tour was over so that he could ask us about our experience afterward. I would use this tour company again in Slovenia. We, of course, would prefer to see the farm during the prime season as we would have been able to see a show. But November was when our cruise brought us to Koper.
Absolutely gorgeous farm land. Perfect for horse lovers and anyone interested in the Lippizzaner history

5.00My mother loves the Lipizzaner horses so I found this tour for the two of us to try as our shore excursion. Peter, the driver and owner of the tour company, communicated with us in advance to let us know where to meet him off of our cruise ship (it was incredibly easy to find him). On our journey to the farm he showed us the sights and told us some of the history as we passed. Upon arrival at the farm he made sure to purchase the tickets for us and he gave us a phone with which to call him when we were ready to be picked up. In advance, Peter also made sure to tell us that there was an English language tour at a certain time so he arranged our day so we wouldn't miss that specific time slot. The tour took us to the stables to visit the mares, the stallions and the studs. Afterwards there was an art gallery, souvenir shop and Lippizaner history museum to explore as well. On the property there's also a hotel and a casino but we didn't partake. There wasn't a show that day but if there had been it would have only been a few euros more to see the show on top of the tour ticket. When we were about an hour away from being ready we just gave Peter a call and he headed back to get us and we used our time to have lunch at the farm's cafe. Peter was very accommodating and offered to drive us to other interesting locations if we were interested but one event for the day was enough for us so he took us back to the port and our ship directly.
