Lipica
The Lipica Stud Farm is one of the oldest stud farms in the world, and it represents the origin of the Lipizzan horse. In a unique natural environment, in the middle of fairy meadows and in the shade of oak and chestnut trees, you will find beautiful white horses which will certainly enchant you. Taking a walk on the stud farm estate is like traveling through history. The old manor house and the gracefulness of the Lipizzan horse will take you to the time when horse carriages were the most prominent way of transport. For more than 400 years the tradition of breeding these white horses has been preserved in the center of the unique Karst landscape which today represents one of the most beautiful natural and cultural monuments in Slovenia. On your trip, experience the world of the Lipizzan horse, walk through the stable, and visit the Lipikum Museum dedicated to various aspects of the stud and the Lipizzan breed.

Awesome cave experience and friendly Lipizzaner horses

5.00The cave was absolutely amazing. I wouldn't miss it if you are going to Slovenia. A river rushes through a cavern with a ceiling as high as a stadium in some places. There's a lot of steps so you need to be able to walk up and down. Take a flashlight. Some areas are a bit dark and having a light lets you see more. Skip the food at the cave except for the beer and ice cream. The burgers were made of some inedible mystery meat. If you love horses you have to go to the Lipizzaner stud farm. The horses are beautiful, well cared for, and incredibly friendly. We stopped at the fence to one of the pastures and three of them, that were way out in the pasture, walked over for some love. Our tour did not include a show, so you would need to book a longer one if you want to see a performance.

5.00The tour was great. Loved seeing the horses, especially watching them practice. The caves were beautiful but included a lot of walking with lots of steps. Matt, our guide was terrific. He took care of us the whole time.

4.00The locations we visited were amazing. The tour guide was also very nice. He were rushed from both locations that was annoying. We ended the tour 2 hours earlier then the projected time so we clearly had more time to spend at each location. With that said, if you don’t have a car this is a great way to see the farm and cave. Also the cave site has many stairs and steep incline/declines with wet surfaces.

5.00Petra was our personal tour person i never experince so professional service in my life she was on time to pick us up at the hotel, she have so much knowledge she guide us from Trieste until the cave explaining us step by steps all the roads and history about this beautiful country i give her a 10 start she is the best tour person they i had so far , continue your great job and thanks again to welcome us to your beautiful country
