I am a Fado lover who has lived all my life in beautiful Lisboa. I have been to lots of Fado venues over the years, meeting many incredible singers & musicians.
I am passionate about my city and its Fado. I have created this experience to share my knowledge of traditional Portuguese music and give my guests a truly authentic evening you will never forget.
In April 2018 I created the #1 rated walk in Lisboa (on another platform) and since then have met many guests from around the world. The most common thing I'm asked is where guests can see traditional Fado, and this has been my inspiration to create this project.

LisboaLove Fado is the ultimate event to live and feel Portuguese Lisboa's traditional music. Starting at 5PM on Friday’s and Tuesday's. I'll share some of our traditions and culture and a brief introduction to the history of Fado, to set the mood for our evening. We're now having a special price promotion to reboost this amazing experience! The LisboaLove Fado takes place on an exclusive venue. We're doing it in my apartment! It's a personal full experience only for the guests who book it, not joining a Fado Restaurant with others. This will be followed by a 40-minute tribute concert to Amália Rodrigues, Portugal’s most famous and well-loved Fado singer. I will add some commentary during the concert to explain the essence and meaning of Amalia’s Fado and why it is such a huge part of the Portuguese soul and culture. On the 3rd part, we'll serve a full taste of plenty Portuguese snacks and wine, and probably you'll skip dinner ;) And don't worry - I'm not singing :)

5.00Our LisboaLove Fado experience in Humberto’s lovely apartment was extraordinary. As the first chords of Luís Coelho’s Portuguese guitar filled the air with the luxurious accompaniment of Pedro Pinhal’s classical guitar, a hush fell over the room. The initial instrumental portion of the show was already mesmerizing but when Filipa Carvalho’s haunting voice joined in, walking from an adjoining room and singing with such soulful power, every heart in the room skipped a beat and tears filled my eyes. Humberto and Filipa provided background for each song, which felt like journeys around Fado’s rich culture. After the show, Humberto provided us with some excellent wine and snacks in his backyard where we had the opportunity to talk with the musicians and discuss their fantastic art form. The whole experience was unforgettable and I highly recommend it as a true celebration of Portuguese musical culture.

5.00We spent an unforgettable evening with Humberto, a warm and gracious host. The soulful Fado music and delicious food—especially his marinated olives—set the perfect atmosphere. Through stories and songs, we discovered the culture and history of this beautiful tradition. More than just learning, it became a heartfelt gathering, where host, musician, and guests shared moments together. For one night, we truly felt part of Portugal. A magical experience I wholeheartedly recommend.

5.00My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this event. It was like visiting a friend's home. Several of his friends are professional fado performers. We sat around and enjoyed their impromptu performance up close. There are also delicious traditional grilled sausages, snacks and wine. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

5.00Humberto provides a very intimate and comfortable experience for those who want to experience Fado and really learn about the History and the meaning of the music. The musicians were incredibly talented and kind. On top of it, the food was so good that Humberto prepared for us. Well worth the money!

5.00I 100% recommend that anyone coming to Lisbon signs up for this experience. Humberto provides a fun and intimate setting to learn the history of fado, enjoy a private (and terrific) fado concert, and get to know other travelers over drinks and food. The experience exceeded any expectations I had. Humberto was friendly and knowledgeable, and created a terrific atmosphere. The musicians were among the best I heard throughout my time in Lisbon. Don't miss out on this experience!

5.00Humberto is a super friendly, passionate expert on fado who leads a fantastic experience! It seems extremely authentic and uncommercial, and really is aimed at getting the group to be as crazy about fado as he is! The musicians and singer were wonderful and really top quality, in an intimate setting with lovely snacks and atmosphere---would absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants to learn about fado, or is interested in a jumping off point to explore more on their own!

5.00This educational and highly entertaining event is a must do! It was, by far, our best night in Lisbon. Humberto made the group comfortable, provided history and background to understand Fado, and provided excellent wine and a great sense of community to all in attendance. The musical performance was spectacular! Filipa’s voice is stunning and the guitarists were awesome. Who knew…we came away in love with Fado. This is a must do to understand Fado and have a relaxing and intimate small group gathering. Humberto is the best!!!
