  Not having booked, we asked for information the unpleasant welcome we were told come back tomorrow without further explanation, we were not even allowed to take pictures.

  Superb experience , we never imagined such complexity to produce quality sticky rice. We booked directly to the farm by phone for the afternoon. A tuk tuk came for us. $36 per person for 3 magical hours

  Great morning. The structure of the program is well put together with all kinds of extras. The guide Johnny was very clear, friendly and capable. We have learned a lot and are impressed by this labor-intensive work.

  Amazing experience. Definitely worth the trip. Very fun and educational learning about the process of growing rice from a seed to a sapling to a full plant and then harvesting and cooking the rice.

  Had a fantastic experience at Living Land! We learned so much about all the hard work that goes into rice and really enjoyed experiencing it firsthand. We also stayed at the homestay for two nights and absolutely loved it. It was so peaceful, the staff was super friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend looking into it beyond the fabulous rice experience.

  Our family, including four kids ages 10-17, really enjoyed this experience! Sai, our guide, was very thorough, interesting, and fun! We learned so much and we love all that this farm is doing in and for the community. We all would recommend this experience to anybody of any age.

  What a fabulous morning learning about the life of a rice farmer in Laos. Our guide was one of the workers, and he led us through the 14 steps of rice farming with extensive knowledge, a very muddy hands and feet on approach, and a lovely sense of humour. Our group had a lovely time planting rice, harvesting it, ploughing with a buffalo, going through the processes of actually getting the rice to a stage where it could be cooked. And at the end, we were served a delicious lunch. All set within the beautiful mountain ranges around Luang Prabang. Definitely a must do.

  I thought it was very fun, I went with a group of five so we were essentially by ourselves with a guide. Going into the mud was optional, it was pretty dirty but if you really want to experience it I recommend going in. The food was delicious at the end and the guide was nice. If you have time to go it’s really interesting to see the process. Also shout out to Billy, the world’s chillest buffalo.

  What a great experience! We had so much fun learning the old ways of farming rice. Get ready to laugh, sweat, and get dirty while learning about rice and meeting new people.. Sai was our amazing tour guide. Highly recommend!

  Fabulous!!! Sai, along with a great sense of humor, taught us so much about farming rice using traditional methods. This experience is an absolute must. We’ve come away way greater understanding of Laos and a greater appreciation for rice. We also had lunch which was delicious !! With or without lunch I highly recommend.
