Experience walking a LLAMA on a sunset trek at 3500 ft above sea level along the slopes of Haleakala. The scenery is absolutely breath-taking, the air is crisp and cool, and from this vantage point you can see coast to coast, the West Maui Mountains across the valley, and the surrounding islands. The walk is relatively flat, traversing rolling hills via a gravel road that becomes a grass path. Each guest walks their own llama while enjoying a way off-the-beaten path experience that will leave you with a deep appreciation and respect for Maui and these beautiful animals. First you will meet and greet your llamas and be given instructions on how to interact with them. Each guest can choose the llama they would like to walk or switch llamas throughout the hike. We begin on a gravel road through rolling hills that then becomes a grass track. We head to a specific vantage point where we stop and rest while enjoying the view, and then we head back to the trailhead. Guests are free to stop and take photos with their llamas any time along the way.

As you can see by the 100% five star reviews this experience has received, it’s hard to describe how truly wonderful it is. Let’s start with the people who own and have trained the llamas: Christine and Sam. These are two incredibly astute, caring, Knowledgeable, and kind hearted people you could ever meet, and as a result, the llamas are equally astute, sensitive, and loving animals. Add to that, the amazing views and gorgeous landscape of Maui, and what we really have here is a 10 star experience. If you like animals, this experience is not to be missed. I think the photographs on the website say it all, but just walking along with these elegant and sweet llamas during the pre-sunset hour, is a memory I will carry with me to the end of my days. Honestly, I can hardly wait to do it again. I booked this experience as a birthday present for two of my closest friends, and I don’t think anything could’ve topped it. TEN stars!!

I was given this gift for a special birthday. Christine and Sam, to begin with, are some of the most amazing people I’ve encountered. Their love and devotion to the animals is inspiring and infectious. And because of their dedication to these gorgeous animals, the llamas are incredibly beautiful, remarkably loving and well trained. The views from the hike are unbelievable. The experience was UNbelievable Don’t hesitate to enjoy🩷

We had the most incredible experience on this llama hiking tour in Maui. This is truly a hidden gem and one of the most unique, peaceful, and joyful things we’ve done on the island. From the moment we arrived, the owner made us feel completely welcomed. You can tell how much love and care she pours into her llamas and her beautiful property. The animals are gentle, friendly, and full of personality—each one with their own little quirks that made the experience even more fun. The sunset hike itself was breathtaking. Walking with the llamas as the sky turned pink and gold felt almost surreal. The views were wide open and stunning, and the pace was relaxed and easy for all levels. We got plenty of time to interact with the llamas, take photos, and just enjoy how calming and sweet they are. This is a brand-new business, and she is doing everything right. It’s intimate, thoughtfully run, and an experience that feels truly special—not touristy or rushed. Our whole family left smiling, and we’d do it again in a heartbeat. If you're looking for something memorable, unique, and heartwarming on Maui, don’t miss this tour. It deserves to become one of the island’s top activities.

This was an early Christmas present for my boyfriend. It turned out to be the highlight of my trip to Maui. Majestic animals well behaved and loving. I will be telling all my family and friends about it. If you go to Maui, it is a must. From the views to Christine and Sam, everything was the best. A memory I will never forget. I still have a smile on my face.

I am a self proclaimed llama lover. This was the highlight of our vacation to Maua. The llamas were adorable, very friendly, well trained and soft. You lead the llamas on a gentle hike up the mountain. The hike was easy and the views were specular. Prefect setting, me and my llama overviewing the blue ocean (oh, my girl friend too). Llamas rule.

I went with my wife, b-in-l and his girlfriend. The evening was a little cloudy, but not rainy though gave the hike a cool mystical feel. The Llamas were better than could be expected, they are well trained, good natured and very friendly. Christine and Sam were gracious hosts/ guides and provided plenty of instruction and information about Llamas in general and their llamas in particular. We walked with Callum and Micha, and Killian led the group. We had many great photos taken that will provide many memories of an unforgettable event. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that is considering doing this, the hike was very mild with very easy terrain, and the stars of the show did not disappoint from start to finish.

Absolutely amazing experience!! All four of us truly enjoyed meeting the friendly, sweet llamas! Our owner guides, Christine and Sam, went out of their way to make sure my llama loving brother was smiling the whole time! Would highly recommend!!!

We had an incredible time strolling along the path with Christine, Sam, and the beautiful llamas! The whole experience was so unique and enjoyable — peaceful, fun, and full of smiles. Christine and Sam were wonderful guides who made the tour feel personal and special. We can’t wait to do it again! The most adorable, fun, and beautiful way to get your steps in! It felt like a dreamy stroll through mystical Ireland — but with the sweetest, fluffiest new friends and a stunning bird’s-eye view of Maui. I loved learning the little nuances of llama communication and getting to pet them (even touching nose to nose!). I’d always heard llamas could be a bit rude or difficult, but it’s so clear these llamas have been raised with incredible love, care, and expert training — any uneasiness melted away thanks to their calm, gentle energy and the warm, intuitive guidance of their owners. It is a very unique experience and I am so glad I went! Thank you!
