We will Meet at the heart of the medina (ancient city of Marrakech), then we will explore the streets and spots where locals eat . You will have a break from the "Couscous" and the "Tagines" that are offered in every touristic spot.

We will start with some Moroccan soup called Harira (only available in the evening tour) and some pancakes. Followed by what we call "Maqla with kefta", it is tomato sauce based with eggs and meatballs (vegetarian version is available).

After that we can try some small portion of a steamed sheep head (also only available in the evening tour), and then have some skewers. We will then end it with dessert which would be typically a smoothie and some Moroccan pastries.

PS: Those are the basic stops but there are usually couple more, and more stops could be added depending on your liking, and on availability.

Optional Stop: You can discover more about how Moroccans use local spices and herbs in daily life, an authentic moment to ask questions to the experts.

Our street food tour will start from the heart of Marrakesh, the famous square called "Jemaa El-fna" from there we will check up to 7 local food spots in the Medina.

Amazing way to explore the Medina and get a taste for local cuisine! Being vegetarian I expected this to be a difficult experience but I was very wrong. There was many food options to accommodate any dietary requirements. With many stops along the way it was definitely worth more than its value. The guides were amazing and know all the right places to go!

We highly recommend this food tour, there was none stop food (go with empty stomach) and we were taken to places where the locals eat, which we would have never gone to ourselves. This made the tour extra special, to get to experience something away from the tourist attractions was a big bonus. Ismail made the tour extra special, he was extremely helpful, friendly and didn’t stop feeding us. We had one vegetarian in our group and he went out his way to make sure they didn’t miss out on any food stops. Highly recommend this tour

Had a great time with my 2 adult daughters (22 & 25) trying new foods in and around the Medina in Marrakech with Smail. He was knowledgeable, funny and engaging with all of us that made it seem like he was more a friend than a tour guide. We tried some delicious dishes and even some things we would not typically have eaten but found tasty. Would definitely recommend booking with Viator and if you can request a specific tour guide Smail is your guy!!!

Well worth the price. My guide Smail was the best guide you could hope for. He took us to several different places offering a diverse set of food to showcase the entirety of the Moroccan culture. He shared stories and history as well, that went beyond the tour description. For the price, you can’t beat it, especially with a great guide like Smail!
