We start at the meeting point in Zona Romantica, Puerto Vallarta, where our transportation vehicle will pick you up. Then we travel 15 minutes down south on the coastal highway, we arrive at Mismaloya beach where you will see the cute little shops, delicious restaurants, bars and more. once we get on the tour boat we will explain the history of Mismaloya beach and take you cliff jumping [optional] next to the ruins of an old abandoned movie set of the night of the iguana, after we will proceed to go to los Arcos of Mismaloya.

We head straight to one of the best cliff-jumping spots in the area. Whether you want to take a 15-foot jump for a quick thrill or challenge yourself with a higher leap, this stop is all about heart-racing fun. Not into jumping? No worries—you can enjoy the show from the boat or swim in the clear blue waters below! After the jump, we slow things down with an amazing snorkeling session. Dive into the vibrant underwater world where you’ll swim alongside colorful fish and maybe even an eagle ray! We’ll also cruise through the iconic arches and caves, giving you a close-up look at this incredible marine sanctuary. After the action, we’ll take you to a hidden beach only accessible by boat. Here, you can relax on the golden sand, swim in the turquoise waters, or explore the rocky coastline. This is your time to unwind and soak up the natural beauty of Puerto Vallarta’s coastline.

5.00I was worried because I am the one who picks activities that will lead us to getting scammed or the activity is not at all what is advertised. I was one activity away from being banned from chosing. For this one we met the host at a sketchy gas station. My friends were sending their location to other friends in case we didn't come back. It wasn't looking good. Then the van pulled up and took us to the checkin location. It was very organized. Made sure anyone who needed sea sick pills had one. Had a safety talk. Then we left for the boat. Alfonso and his mates were our tour guides. They made sure everyone was comfortable. We first went to cliff dive. Amazing to watch half the boat climb and jump from 2 different cliffs. Next they took us to a snorkeling area near a reef. Helped us get in the best spots to see fish and swim through a cave. The water was the prefect temperature and the fish were beautiful. We then went to a small beach and got to swim a little more. On our way back, we saw different rock formations that resembled a turtle, a frog, and a gorilla. They Then stopped by a rock archway for family/group pictures. The entire activity was a hit and I still have my power to chose another activity.

5.00Captain Arnold and Alfonso were awesome guides on our recent trip. They took our family of 8 on a small private boat for cliff diving, snorkeling, and hanging on a private beach near Los Arcos, Mismaloya. It was totally worth it!

5.00Having done a dive trip off Mismaloya Beach several years ago, I knew that Los Arcos was a great spot for snorkeling/diving near Puerto Vallarta. Probably the best spot in PV. My friend with whom we were traveling wanted to do cliff jumping and Mismaloya Xtreme offered that along with snorkeling and a visit to a "Secret Beach" and the price was very reasonable. I communicated directly with the tour operator and the owner (?) through Whatsapp and everything was smooth and well communicated. We arrived by cruise ship and it was very easy navigating through the terminal and its shops to the OXXO gas station. Maybe it was a 10 minute walk? Very convenient. We met our friendly driver and were on our way to Mismaloya which is about 20-30 minutes south of PV. As I suspected, we were dropped off at the top of the short street down to the beach, near Mismaloya Xtreme's office. We paid for the tour in cash to save some $$, used the restrooms right there and met our great guide Ivan who led us down to the beach (very short walk downhill). We made our way onto the beach and Ivan as well as our Captain Sebastian and one other employee timed the waves and helped us up onto the boat. We had my 82 year old quite capable Mother-In-Law with us and even she made it on to the boat, thankfully (lol). She did stay on the boat the whole time but really enjoyed being out on the water. Our first stop was just past the point where they filmed part of the 1964 classic "Night of the Iguana". Obviously, this is clearly a big deal for the folks of Mismaloya but as the years go by, sadly, it will become irrelevant for the Millenial set. This was the time for our cliff diving and at that point, it's true, Ivan, while a great guide, truly, definitely seemed to be on a tight time schedule and did politely rush us a bit through the tour. But he has a job to do, does it well, and I definitely appreciate the need to nudge some folks from time to time. Still, for those who wanted to cliff jump, we did have time to do two jumps, including waiting for a nice fellow who had gotten up there and was scared to death. But as I positively and supportively said, it's easier jumping than clamoring back down the steep rocks. I had water socks...and I was VERY, VERY glad I did because it definitely helped this 52 year old. The two teenage daughters with us did just fine as did my 6 foot maybe 4 inch buddy. As a kid, I would have never done this but as I have learned in life, it's about the experience; I looked forward to it and with much somewhat riskier stuff I've done in my life I have realized that I'd later regret not doing it. And it was a blast! Maybe 20 feet high? And even landing on my butt one of the times, it didn't hurt at all. With the most possibly dangerous part of the tour out of the way, Ivan and Sebastian whipped out the plentiful beverages of all kinds. The snorkeling stop with the tunnel swim was fantastic. Lots of fish to see and I was even able to dive down a bit despite the life vest we had to wear by law. I had asked Ivan if I could go without but he explained that the game warden for this protected marine area requires that everyone wear one. Ivan did, at one point, let me take it off, which I appreciated as I am a strong swimmer and I really love diving down to check out all the sea life. Shh...don't tell the warden. We then had about 15-20 minutes at "The Secret Beach" which they claim is only reachable by boat but I did see a road from the beach so I dunno...lol. It was a nice enough beach and there were more beverages provided there which was very appreciated. My daughter and I collected some sea glass while we were there. When we arrived back at the beach, we were contemplating staying for lunch or going back to town, which was included in the tour. The beach is so lovely and there are a bunch of restaurants right there on the sand so we took Ivan's recommendation of dining at Restaurante-Bar Chuyita and it absolutely did not disappoint (get the whole fried fish....amazing). Usually, I am very skeptical of taking a tour operator's advice because, you know, he's probably getting some kind of kickback from the restaurant, right? But this place was legit and I appreciated Ivan even more for honestly guiding us in the right direction. And whatever any possible kickback I hope he gets, he deserves it. Before we sat at the table, we went over to the base camp just beyond the beach where there was a shower to rinse off. We thanked and tipped Ivan and went over for our fantastic meal. And don't worry, you can trust the ice in the drinks. I warned the rest of our party that they might not want to eat the raw lettuce but the ice really was fine. When we were done, we decided to get a van back to town and arranged it at the Mismaloya Xtreme office. Since we were 9 of us including my Mother-In-Law, it really was the best choice. Other options were Uber, Taxi or even the convenient and very cheap bus. We did hear Uber was also cheaper than taxis. Overall, I highly, highly recommend Mismaloya Xtreme! Thank you Ivan and Sebastian!

5.00We had an amazing afternoon hanging out with Alfonso and our Captain!! We have been on a few different snorkeling tours and this was by far the best! We highly recommend this tour company as safety is first and the guide gets in the water with you for your safety and to show you around the reef. This is great company that is on point with the things that matter; service, friendliness and relaxing vibe!!! We would give more than 5 if it was possible.

3.00The snorkeling itself was good, lots of fish to see and swimming thru sea cave, hidden beach was also nice. Upon arrival it was very rushed and not very well organized. There was also alot of confusion about getting a ride back to the meeting point.

5.00Efrain was a fantastic host. Easy 2.5 hour trip with a little snorkeling and one option to jump Off a rock. Would do it again!

5.00Alfonso and Captain Arnold were awesome and made our family experience extra special! Alfonso impressed us, he really knew his stuff. I would highly recommend this locally owned business for families that like to get out there and be adventurous ❤️
