  Fabulous show, well worth seeing. I booked on the afternoon of the show with no problem at all. Unfortunately it wasn't crowded which is a real shame, not that I want it to be crowded but it would be good for the performers as they deserve to be watched. The light show is awesome, the dancing and the costumes WOW. I paid for a VIP ticket which gave me 2nd row right in the middle, the seats are arranged so that you have no-one directly in front blocking your view. It's too far to walk from the centre of town so you need to get a tuk tuk of taxi and some of them have no idea where the International Opera House so be prepared with directions. My only complaint, and it's not really a complaint, is that the English descriptions/translations were at each side of the stage and it was hard to read and watch the show at the same time. I recommend this show to anyone visiting Luang Prabang.

  The Buddhist light display was fantastic, creating a warm atmosphere. We loved the traditional Laotian dance. The performers had intricate movements and vibrant costumes. The music paired perfectly with the lights, enhancing the whole vibe. It was an unforgettable evening, showcasing the beauty and depth of Lao culture.

  Frankly, it was magical! I strongly advise, it is a very nice experience to live! Dancers, costumes and history are great. The experience is well worth the price.

  I was honestly pretty disappointed by the **Buddha's Lights Stage Show** in Luang Prabang. I was expecting something that would offer a meaningful or artistic insight into local culture, but the overall artistic value felt quite low. The choreography and storytelling came across as overly simplistic and repetitive, and the show relied heavily on lighting effects rather than substance. On top of that, the subtitle screens were placed on the sides of the stage instead of above or below it, which meant constantly having to look away from the performance — a major distraction that made it hard to stay engaged. Overall, it felt far more like a tourist-oriented production than a genuine cultural performance and didn’t really live up to expectations.

  I booked the show last minute on a solo trip and I was delighted they arranged tuktuk pick up and they were very communicative ahead of time. There was no issue. The tuktuk waited for me during the performance as well and all of the dancers radiated such a positive cheery light, tying in their devotion to Buddhism through all the dance numbers! The lighting effects + the costumes were very gorgeous! Great Job! Made me smile & gave me joy. They also give an opportunity for you to take immersive pictures with them!

  Amazing show, can’t believe that the venue wasn’t packed. The costumes, dancing, lighting , special effects and music were just excellent. There are subtitles to explain the narrative. Thoroughly enjoyed the show.

  Excellent experience. Vibrant light and music show depicting the life of the Buddha. There is an opportunity for pictures with the performers at the end.

  My daughter (2 years old) loved it. Nice to see a local show. You should book a tuk tuk to go and come back as it is a bit far away from the center and everybody leaves as soon as the show is over.

  Beautiful show. Great dancing and singing. It's the story of Buddha. Costumes and scenery are first class The opera house is quite new. It's a 20 minute taxi ride from town
