Between Cognac and Saintes, you will fall under the spell of Walnut grove, a family farm of organic nuts that welcomes you for a unique gastronomic experience around nuts. You will be seduced by this unique site nestled in the heart of the Cognas vineyards in Charente and its shaded orchard that will house your lunch in the middle of nature.
Things to do and games for young and old are available free of charge at the reception on request, to make the experience last long after lunch! Do not hesitate to bring your bikes, scooters, balloons... to make the most of your time with us:)
After your meal, take a walk through the farm of the Desrentes family, our neighbors who produce Pineau Cognac and wonderful Charentais wines (walking distance, 5 minutes), or visit the Abbey of Fontdouce (10 minutes drive) where many activities are offered for all ages in a beautiful site.

After a private tasting tour of the estate, you will take the time to enjoy a gourmet meal based on local products under the freshness of the walnut trees of our orchard! The tasting tour (about 45 minutes) will introduce you to the orchard of 2500 walnuts, the production and harvest of organic nuts, and our workshop for processing into kernels and virgin nut oils. The tour ends with the tasting of our virgin nut oils and our nut specialties. Then we settle you in a quiet and shaded place under the walnut trees where you can enjoy a tasty meal based on local and seasonal products! In addition, you can choose your cold drinks: sodas from Île d'Oléron, handmade fruit juice, Pineau des Charentes*, local beer* or Charentais wine*, and order your coffee, tea or herbal tea. 5.00Picnic on a pretty table set under the walnut trees in a quiet and green setting. We were with our 20 month old grandson who was able to enjoy the environment safely. The meal was excellent with local produce and homes. We were very well received and had a real relaxing time. The shop allowed us to bring back good products. We will return to it.

5.00What a pleasure to have a picnic without having to prepare anything; to taste local products made by the Walnut or other local craftsmen and all out of the sun under the walnut trees. The icing on the cake the chocolate and nut brownie extremely light. The tasting that follows the visit is a pleasure for the taste buds , as for nuts and uax oils they are .....no I don't tell you ....go there to form your own opinion
