One of our most popular tours: Luxemburg is certainly a modern and vibrant city with a rich history and impressive ancient and contemporary architecture. In the old part of Luxembourg, our guide will take you to the cathedral, the Palace of the Grand Duke and the Place d’Armes. In downtown Luxembourg you will enjoy a spectacular view of the Kirchberg district, home to several European institutions. In the valley, you will be able to see a trail of the Casemates, the abbey of Neumünster, the city walls and the picturesque sites along the river Alzette.
After some free time in the city, you will explore the quaint town of Dinant, with its fifteenth century collegial church and its impressive citadel. Dinant’s name originates from the Celtic “Divo Nanto”, which means “Sacred Valley”. This little town is dramatically perched on the narrow banks of the River MeuseI. This is the cradle of the Leffe beer and the birth place of Adolphe Sax, the inventor of the saxophone.

3.00Wasn’t my favorite Viator experience. Ended up being a large full bus and dual language. I admire the multiple languages of the Guide and she did her best but continually switching languages seemed to detract from the experience. Very brief overview of the city. Plenty of time to walk around.

5.00It was a wonderful long daytrip from Brussels with many great new impressions and memories. Pablo was an excellent and energetic guide. Expect a multilingual groupand quite long transfers on the bus, but it is certainly worth it!

5.00Great tour! A good opportunity to visit Luxembourg if you stay in Brussels for several days. Very knowledgeable guide and comfortable bus. The guide will walk with you for a bit and talk about history and other interesting facts. They will give you info about what places you can go to in your free time. If I had to change one thing, I’d vote for a little bit more free time in the city to explore on your own. It is a long drive there (almost 3 hours), and it would’ve been nice to spend more time on the city. Stopping in Dinant is a great addition to the tour. It is a small and beautiful town with lots of history.

3.00Half the trip was spent on the bus, but that was to be expected. The tour operator was very knowledgeable. However, we booked a English speaking tour and it was not English speaking exclusively.. Every word he spoke was in at least two languages and numerous questions were asked that we did not understand and he did not explain what was being asked. We also only had 45 minutes in Dinant, maybe because of traffic, but not completely sure. Every time we were let out of the bus they let everyone out by both exits. However, the last stop when we all were ready to go home, they explain that they would appreciate tips and then, Only the front door was open, and the gentleman was waiting outside with his hand open. Left a bad taste, for this tour operator.

3.00An affordable (<€35/pax) tour especially good for someone seeking adventure whilst getting lost, or being left behind, during the walking tour, intelligent folks who can tolerate intermittently working mobile ear receivers, walking the extra mile to reach the bus, or Not feeling guilty saving on tips, etc - albeit travelling to a new country or strange place. No worries, seems the (actual, local operator) Tour company is alright with losing a couple of people during the tour as it's because they were not listening or following guidance. After all, at such a fare, what can one expect, right? 😅
